Monday Horror Movie Franchise Rankings. The Conjuring Universe
Welcome back to another Monday Horror Movie Franchise Ranking brought to you by HH365, Your Leader In Anything Spooky! Today we will break down The Conjuring Universe. This will eventually be re done as there is another Conjuring on the way and rumored Annabelle and Tbhe Nun film in production.
Most people know the movie series that is designed around Ed and Lorraine Warren and some of the things they have seen as their time as Paranormal Investigators. These films just tell a certain part of the Career that these two had. We are very interested to get a hold of all of their files and see what else they did and discovered in their storied career. But let us now get started on the rankings for The Conjuring Universe.
#6
#2
Annabelle Creation. WOW! What a film. From the start of the movie it goes on hard all movie long. Even the slow parts have crazy good jump scares and really shows how the doll was constructed and came forth. It was easily one of my favorite films in the franchise and looking forward to watching it again right before The Conjuring 3 comes out. I can watch this film anytime. So make sure you check this must see flick out! Now, no surprise for what our number one pick!

#6
The Nun. Where do I start with this film. It was a cool story, It had good actors, but the movie just felt like something thrown together to get into Theaters. It seemed rushed and really did not deliver the back round story to Valak, the demon that was the reason behind The Conjuring 2. We get what happened but not really how she or it even came back. This was easily the weakest entry into the franchise.
#5.
Annabelle Comes Home. The latest Annabelle entry really disappoints. Other then some cool scenes and the continuation of the relationship between Ed and Lorraine, this movie really missed the mark for me. Not a lot of scares and or action. the movie fell a little flat as far as we are considered but not as boring as The Nun so it is in its correct place at #5.
#4
The Original Annabelle. Probably the most boring movie in the franchise. But it was a good one for the series. Annabelle had a ton of great jump scares and a decent story line. It was a fun way to introduce the most notorious investigations of the Warrens. I cannot say that I fully remember most of this movie as it has been some time since I watched it but I remember wanting it to be scarier. Let us get to the next one.
#3
The Conjuring 2. This was a great addition to the series. I will not lie to you, The Conjuring 2 almost made me turn it off with the horrible animation effects of The Crooked Man. Terrible, some of the worst effects I have seen in years on video. Certain Jason kills from Friday the 13th 3 were better executed then this animation effect. Now that I have that out of my system. The conjuring 2 started and ended correctly and became a great film and a must watch for the franchise. It had a surprising twist at the end that still holds up. Let us get to number 2!#2

The Conjuring. This comes very close to being one of the few perfect horror movies of all time! I loved this movie from start to finish and the scares and jump scares are out of this world. Great casting from the Warrens to the Perrons and their children. This was great movie from start to finish and I enjoyed it all. I will put this movie on just to have something to look at. The cinematography is second to none and will keep you at the edge of your seat up until the final moment! Go watch this movie now.

Fun Facts Friday Halloween 1978
Welcome back to another installment of HH365! Today we take a look at ten fun facts from Halloween (1978), one of the original slasher movies of our time. It was an interesting film for its time so I am sure we can find facts that not a lot of people know. Let's get started.
1. The famous mask was actually a Captain Kirk mask designed after William Shatner. The mask was purchased for one dollar and was painted white and had some of the features removed like eyebrows and sideburns.
2. Michael Myers was named after a British film promoter who helped John Carpenter with his last film.
3. The original script for the film was named "The Babysitters Murders". But with lack of budget, the movie all had to take place on one night.
4. The town of Haddonfield was based on Debra Hill's hometown of Haddonfield, New Jersey. Just about 20 minutes away from your writers home.
5. After a Critic claimed that Halloween was not very scary, John Carpenter decided to compose the entire score in just three days.
6. The overall darkness of the film was not intended but because the crew could not afford more lighting.
7. Myers is called "The Shape". This was a reference to The Salem Witch Trial Judges who referred to spirits who harm other "Shapes"
8. The knife sound effect was produced by stabbing a water melon with a knife.
9. Dr. Loomis was named after Jamie Lee Curtis's mother's love interest in the movie Psycho.
10. Jamie Lee Curtis was paid just $8,000 dollars for her work in Halloween.
11. Because the film was filmed in the spring time, leaves were hard to come by. The crew would paint paper leaves and spread them around for shots. Once shots were completed, the crew would pick them up and re use them for other scenes.

What We Hope We See In 2020

1. More Music/Sound. We would love to remember every walk through we go through. But sometimes without making the walk through memorable, it is very hard. The ones that always stand out always have a good theme music and or creepy sound that really sticks to you even six months later. A little hidden speaker can turn any room into the best room you have open.
2. More Food Options. I don't know about you guys, but I am hungry when I get to Haunts. A Snack Bar does not suffice! We need some hot dogs, some burgers, fries and some soda!
3. More Gift Shop Options. As a weirdo collector, I collect mugs, so if I had a wish list it would be that every Haunt had a dishwasher safe mug available.
4. Changing Attractions. This really does not even have to be a major overhaul. Sure, in a perfect world, every Haunted Attraction could change every walk through every year but that is just not financially responsible or realistic. But, slight tunes and slight changes can always make the world of difference.
5. Change out Dated Attractions. As we see out of Night of Terror, This is coming to fruition. We are so excited to see the two new walk throughs that we have found out about in this off-season!
These are just a few examples of what we hope we can see in 2020. We will enjoy this Haunt season none the less so let us enjoy our countdown to Haunt Season and spot any news we can find! That is what we have for you today at HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

What We Hope We DONT See in Haunt Season 2020
Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we will talk about our Non-Wish list for 2020! Things that we really do not want to see in Haunted Attractions for 2020. The world seems to be on fire and upside down right now and it really gave me things to think about going into 2020.
1. Corona Virus themed screams from patrons. We dealt with this during the last Ebola scare and every single stage on a hayride you hear some half wit yell out "Ebola"! "They have Ebola". Its annoying and I hope the idiots do not sit there for every single attraction and yell "Corona". It just sucks. This is really not under control from haunts because there is no way to do it.
2. Haunts not upgrading or changing Attractions. We run into way to many times that a Haunt has not changed any single thing in a walk through. How do you plan on bringing back repeat customers if they walk through the same thing year after year.
3. Missing Gift shops. There are quite a few world renown Haunted Attractions out there that are not taking advantage of growing their budgets with gift shops. Nothing will boost your build or prop budget more then extra income coming in the door. Some really miss the mark on this and they really need to re think their business strategy.
4. We need more food at Haunted Attractions. Another key miss by some Haunts. It is a long trip for most people and there is usually not a lot of fast food around barns and other places where these Haunted Attractions are. People are hungry, feed them and pocket the budget jump!
These are just a few ideas we have had as of late! And all we have for you today at HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Monday Horror Franchise Rankings. Jaws
Welcome back to Monday Horror Franchise Rankings Monday at HH365! Today we will take a look at the Jaws franchise. An Oscar Winning film by Steven Spielberg that spawned three movies after the original did massive numbers at the box office. This one will be an easy one due to some of the suspect films in this film. Let us get started now!
#4
#2
#4
#4 Jaws 3-D. Yes, Jaws Three was produced to use the 3D technology used at the time of filming. This was a hard decision for me because it is a little better film then Jaws, The Revenge but the effects used were some of the worst I have ever seen in my life. The acting was decent until it came time for the Great White to float towards the mission control room without moving its tail or eyes or anything and then suddenly break all the "glass" inside. This effect buried this movie on our franchise list which really sucks because I did enjoy this film and thought it kept a cool lineage between the brothers from Amity Island. I stay with my decision and keep Jaws 3 here. Let us go to number 3.
#3
Jaws, The Revenge. Like I said in the earlier ranking. Jaws the revenge should have really been number four thanks to the very different story and that the Shark takes a vacation to finish off the Brody family. What in the hell were they thinking. I am not going to sit here and say I hate this movie, the acting was not bad, kept the lineage of the family going better or worse and the effects were up there with the first film. You cannot have a shark attack movie with a shark that does not move. Anyway, let us continue the list. If i Could put 3 and 4 in the same number 4 spot, I would. #2
Jaws 2. Jaws 2 follows much of the successful format of the first film. a lot of the cast did not return for the sequel as some of them were killed in one and Hooper was off on another mission when Brody found the film footage from a shipwreck. Roy Scheider was not enough to carry the film to the stratosphere that the first one had. It was a decent film and easily one to check out if you were a fan of the first film. This is a solid number 2 in the franchise. Now, let us get to number one.
#1.
No surprise here. Jaws (1975). Hands down the best film of the franchise and one of the best Horror if not overall films of all time. It has made a ton of top ten list for regular movies and horrors of all time. Jaws will always be a must watch for me when ever it is on. This was a perfect storm type movie. Great Cast, Great Story, Great effects. Jaws brings it all to the table in the best way. There is not much more we can say about this movie because we are sure that you have already seen it one hundred times. This will wrap up our rankings from the Jaws franchise.

Half Way To Haunt Season
Welcome back to HH365! Today we see that we are very close to being just six months away from Haunt Season. Some of the Haunts are going hard right now even in the craziness we are dealing with during the Pandemic to bring us our favorite shows starting in September. It will be here before we know it and you know you have HH365 for the most news and reviews for all of the Haunted Attractions.
We can just see it all unfold right now. All of the planning and budgets coming into effect. The building going on like at Night of Terror with the brand new walk through coming up and them constantly posting on Facebook. They still have no leaked what it will be but with the posts on Facebook, our Correspondent John believes it will be a Classic Movie Monster walk through as I really hope it will be. Just look at the Success from the Reapers Revenge Hayride.
Also, another Attraction is slated to open at Reapers Revenge for the 2020 season, so we really wish we could be flies on the wall for that build and what those guys do is always Legendary. Last year was our first visit to Reapers and we will easily be back for 2020 and on.
Field of Screams always brings it in the off season so we are very much looking forward to what they have had their hands in this off season on top of their first year of opening during the off season. Only time will tell with this one!
We are getting excited for the new Attractions and add ons from our Favorite Haunts in 2020. We should actually start to see some 2020 season schedules start popping up on Haunt webistes in the next few weeks or months. We cant believe it is already time to start prepping and see what we can pull off in 2020! \
Also! We still need help! Reach out to us anyway possible and let us know what you can bring to the table, we are looking for many reviewers in a lot of states so make sure you contact us soon! We want to have all of that locked down by June!

Fun Facts Friday! The Exorcist
Welcome back to HH365 for another installment of Fun Facts Friday. Today we will find some fun facts about one of the classic Horror Movies, The Exorcist! Lets get started!
1. The scream that comes out of Reagan when the spirit is exiled from her body was made by recording squealing pigs being dragged to a slaughter house.
2. Ellen Burstyn, the actress that played Reagan's Mother actually suffered a permanent spinal injury during the stunt where she was thrown away from her possessed Daughter's body. A harness pulled her away from the body and as it pulled her, she slammed her coccyx into the wall and screamed out in pain.
3. If adjusted for Inflation. The Exorcist would be the top grossing Rated R film of all time.
4. The substance that Reagan spewed all over the Priests was specifically Anderson's pea soup. The crew tried Campbell's brand but the director did not like the consistency.
5. Linda Blair, Reagan, accidentally received her Best Supporting Actress Nomination because it was supposed to go to Mercedes McCambridge who had actually provided the voice for the demon. With the nomination not being able to be changed, the Academy made sure that she did not win her nomination.
6. Due to Death Threats against Linda Blair from crazy Religious zealots who believed that the film glorified Satan. Warner Bros. had bodyguards protecting Linda for six months after the release of the film.
7. At one point, William Friedkin had such a hard time casting for the role of Reagan that he was thinking about auditioning an Adult Dwarf Actors.
8. Linda Blair injured her back while being thrown around in bed when a piece of the rig broke and she was slammed harder then expected.
9. The sound effect of Reagan's head turning 360 degrees was actually a leather wallet being twisted in front of a microphone.
10. Due to controversial material, this movie was not actually released on video in the United Kingdom until 1999. It took a whole 26 years for it to come out on video in the UK!

Movies From True Events...The Hills Have Eyes
Welcome back everyone to the next edition of HH365! Today we will bring back an old segment we did before last Haunt Season where we find the True Stories and History that brough us our favorite Horror Movies! Today lets take a look at one of the less popular films but still a Wes Craven Classic, The Hills Have Eyes!
Wes Craven has been on record as saying that this film was inspired from Scotland many moons ago.
This movie was inspired by The Legend of Sawney Bean. Bean was a Mythical leader of a Cannibalistic Cult in the 15th Century.
The legend goes that Sawney Bean lived in a cave in remote Scotland with about fifty family members including over twelve children from his union with Agnes Douglas, and dozens of Grandchildren mostly born of incest.
The family is said to have survived with Murder and Cannibalism. They would target and attack lone travelers that crept too close to their home. The would murder them and eat their flesh. When they had more human remains that they could eat, they would pickle and salt the meat for consumption later. Sawney Bean and his Cannibal crew would live in this cave until a bad ambush led Authorities to its location and capture the entire family.
At the end of their Cannibalistic murder spree that lasted a few decades, the number of victims is believed to be in the hundreds. Each member of the family was sentenced to a slow and horrifying death.
Yes, Craven was right and that made for one hell of a tale from Scotland. You cannot make this stuff up when it comes to inspirations for Horror!

What we learned in 2019 part 2 Build Your Brand At Haunted Attractions
Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we will continue the segment about What the 2019 Haunt season taught us about Haunting. We enjoy doing this site not only because we love visiting Haunts and seeing what changes every year, but we also enjoy learning the inside tracks of every Haunt we visit.
Today we will talk about Building the Brand. This tactic is not much different then Businesses and Corporations alike, In fact, Much more important for a Haunted Attraction business. Unlike Monster Corporations, Haunts have a product to sell that not everyone is fully aware of but for one month out of the year. Pretty scary if you think about it. An entire Haunts Life Cycle lasts about 3-7 weeks depending on how long they can open for in their area.
So without 365 days of interest from 99% percent of the population, Growing your brand is so much more important in the Haunt World.
It is very important to leave a lasting impression every night of occupancy. This is mandatory for any Haunt that wants to stay open longer then five years. We have seen already so many Haunts have to shut their doors because they have not caught the consumers attention.
Another key way to improve marketing and building the brand would be merchandising. Make sure you are selling at least one thing with your logo, from coffee mugs to t shirts. This will keep the public's attention even in the off season when they pick up that mug or look through their closet. Not only will this help fund your haunt as there are so many great deals on printing product, but will keep you in the main public's thoughts through out the regular year and will help with repeat customers. Even the smallest Haunt should at least stock 50-100 T shirts. It marketing, profit and brand all in one.
This has been one of the biggest things we were taught in 2019. Make sure you build your brand every year and keeping adding to your Attractions. This will keep the people coming back year after year.

Monday Horror Franchise Rankings, Scream Franchise

#4.
Scream 3 (2000). Scream 3, like most trilogies like it was at the time, really like to get into a deeper back story to fully wrap up the series. Much like Randy said from the dead, all bets are off. And he was not wrong about this statement. What he also did not mention was it was the worst acted Scream in the franchise. The story was cool as it added Maureen Prescott's back story and a new brother that we did not know about. They are making another movie about the Sidney attack in Hollywood so the story takes place there. The returning cast was great but the surrounding characters are god awful. It had a good spin but the weak acting really brought it to the worst movie in the franchise. Lets continue to number 3.#3
Scream 2 (1997). This movie had one of the coolest cold opens out of the franchise, taking the hint from the first film they really opened with a stunner. But, after that stunner the movie kind of went down hill for me. I enjoyed the movie but really, there was no sudden "oh shit" moment when the killer is revealed as Billy Loomis's Mother with help from movie crazed Mickey. Most of the audiences saw this coming so there was no real shock. A better acted film, but the ending doesn't hold up to others in the franchise. Let us get to number 2.

#1 Scream (1996). Not a whole lot to be said about this film. It will forever live in my heart as one of the craziest turns for a Horror movie and really, from the cold open, blew us away when they killed the star in the first four minutes. Great Cast, Great Story, Great Director. This movie saved Horror after its plunge in the early 1990's. If you have not seen this movie yet, click off this page and sit down with some popcorn and ask your self "What's your favorite scary movie?"
That wraps up our Scream Franchise Rankings. We have a few more Franchises to cover so it should be a fun couple mondays coming up. So keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Scores in Haunted Attractions
Welcome back to another installment of HH365! Yesterday, we took a look at how Vital and Important musical composers and scores are important to create the full Hollywood experience. Today, we will show you some examples of how the same effects can be brought to Haunted Attractions.
We are not saying that most Haunts do not have sound effects or scores lined up with their Attraction. We know that they do, but the issue we have with most are that they are completely forgettable. After writing the last article, we sat back and had a discussion on what walk throughs we really remembered from the entire experience sound included. Well, to keep it short. Most Haunts we visit have anywhere from three to six walk throughs. So, any given weekend or weekday we walk through about 12-15 weekly in season. We could only bring up three off the top of our heads instantly.
So out of close to 50 walk throughs a season. We only vividly remember three up and down. Why, because the sound never hit home.
The first one we remember was a room at Field of Screams. It played one of the creepiest songs of all time and it really nailed the nail on the head with the room design. This room featured a bunch of mannequins dressed in drapes with a few live actors hidden in the group to really jolt you. The song playing was actually from the film "Insidious". Here is a clip of that song now.
Just listen to that song. Still gives me the same chills it did in that room at Field of Screams. It pretty much works just like it does in your favorite movies.
A couple of the other ones that we remembered off hand were Frightland and Reapers Revenge music. They really fit every scene that you entered.
With all of this being said. We have a way to improve any room or Attraction you have by making the score work with the room. If people hear a certain thing and see a certain thing, let that play with their heads a little bit and it will make the scare that much better. There are a ton of trademark free songs available for download so you do not have to worry about Trademark infringement or anything like it. Add a few blue tooth speakers if you need to keep it on the inexpensive end. They are easily hide-able and a charge will usually last you a night. So add that third or fourth dimension to every walk through you have just to deepen that experience. there are millions of sounds and songs available for free through out the inter webs. Use them! Make everyone remember that room or anything you have wanted to improve but it has not been in the budget. This could be the easiets way to a scare, or the fake out!

FUN FACTS FRIDAY, FRIDAY THE 13TH
Welcome back to the next episode of HH365! Today is Friday so we will continue our segment of Fun Facts Friday! Today's edition will be around the borrowed picture above. Friday the 13th 1980. Let us get to the fun!
10. Friday the 13th was inspired by the success of Halloween 1978. When Halloween blew away the competition in the theaters at the time of its release with such a small budget. Producer and Director Sean Cunningham wanted to make a movie with similar success. Friday the 13th was born.
9. The Camp used for shooting is still in use. The camp called Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, is a Boy Scouts of America camp located in the great state of New Jersey. Access was denied for a long time but they are starting to run tours and you can sometimes actually camp in the original camp Blood.
8. Betsy Palmer gave Pamela Voorhees her backstory. Without much direction from Cunningham, Mrs Palmer was more of a Method Actress, so she found it important that our beloved Murderer had a deeper story to play off of.
7. One of the Actors, Harry Crosby who played Bill, was temporarily blinded by fake blood. The Great Tom Savini used a chemical to help drench clothes in blood in this certain mixture that was pooled into Crosby's eye. Crosby was rushed to the hospital but ended up completely fine.
6. The main Score of the film was created from a line of dialogue. Ki KI MA MA. Came from Pamela Voorhees imitating her lost son Jason saying "Kill Her Mommy, Kill Her". This has really stood the test of time and kept us on our toes ever since.
5. Several Crew Members played the killer before Betsy Palmer signed on. With shooting already under way, they had to be imaginative will scenes from the killer with no actual killer on staff yet. A lot of the crew members actually hold the murder weapon through out the movie.
4. Kevin Bacon's Death scene was almost cut and not used because of the difficulty.of the special effect. Everyone remembers Kevin Bacon being done in by an arrow into his throat from underneath. That effect took hours to do correctly. Anything that could have gone wrong in this one take scene did. From Bacon having to sit uncomfortably on his knees for hours, Tom Savini and his crew member doing two separate effects that needed to be done at the same time and also the Director of Photography to hold down Bacon's head.
3. Jason Voorhees was supposed to be a regular boy who had drowned at Camp Crystal Lake. After a rewrite from a writer that the Financier brought in to add some things to the original draft by Victor Miller, Jason became the deformed child we know and love today.
2. The last scare where Jason jumps from the lake is not in the original screen play. There is no proof as to who added the final jump scare right before the hospital scene where they did not find any boy! Tom Savini wants to take full credit for it, and looking at that scene. I am willing to give it to him.
1. Friday the 13th was almost called something completely different. Sean Cunningham wanted to keep it holiday oriented so it could match the success from Halloween. The original title of this script was actually called "A Long Night At Camp Blood". Now we can nail down why it was called this heavily in part 2 and some of the other following movies.

New Haunted Walk Through Confirmed From Night Of Terror
Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we will take a look into what is coming for the 202 Haunt Season and any news that we find out along the way until Opening day in September.
As you can see from our borrowed photo, This News session was brought to you from Night of Terror in Mullica Hill, NJ. They had some exciting news to share on their Facebook page.
After years of terrorizing their fans, one of the longest Attractions at Night Of Terror is no more. They have decided to retire Slaughter Cave. So for the 2020 season, Slaughter Cave will be no more. They also posted on the Facebook page that they were interested in hearing some feed back on what should take its place for the upcoming season.
So feel free to head to their social media and post your opinions. We of course, voted for a walk through with all of the wonderful Movie Maniacs of the past. Other Haunts have had a great deal of success with this and keeps fans pouring in the ticket booths. We understand that you have to be very careful with this type of Attraction. The exact reason we are very careful with giving photo credit when using a Haunt logo or design. But, with that being said, other Haunts have pulled this off.
If it is not a walk through filled with Horror Fiends, we would love to see something very original. Something out of the box, something unlike anything in the Haunt world. What do you guys think? Feel free to shout it out to us at any of our Social Media sites.
That is what we have for our first news reports of 2020! So make sure you check back every day to HH365. Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

How important are Movie Scores when it comes to Horror?
Welcome back to the next installment of HH365! Today we will take a look at one of the most underlooked aspect of most Horror Movies. The musical Score. And really how important it is and how it is used and how just a Score alone can become the Villain. All rights are reserved and all of the media used are owned from the Studios they came from. We will be going heavy in the examples so I just wanted to add this disclaimer right away. Let us get into the article!
If you look back on your favorite movies, I am sure you can remember most scores and songs that were in that movie. To go non-Horror for a moment, I look at most of the popular Martin Scorsese films and really when I hear songs when I am driving or in other movies, it always brings me back to "Goodfellas", "The Irishman" or "Casino" among many other films. Scorsese always does a great job in using the right song or theme at the right time. Outside of Horror he is easily one of my favorite Directors. But, this is a Haunt and Horror site so lets hope into Horror.
Horror Scores really help drive home jump scares. The sound of the music or the high pitched violin right when a cat jumps out of a cupboard. The sound really intensifies which drives the chord in your brain that really helps put the viewer on edge during any scene. The biggest example of this was from Steven Spielberg's Jaws from 1975. Spielberg is another Director that really makes drama happen with a score. but in the case of Jaws and most movies, The Director really has little to do with it. In the case of Jaws, John Williams the Composer was able to create an entire Villain without even seeing the shark on screen. Take a look below, amazing score for this great film.
I could spend and entire Month on John Williams in every crazy good score he has produced so let us get into the Slasher Genre. The biggest name in Horror Score and Soundtrack in my opinion. John Carpenter. Yes, The man behind Michael Myers and the Legendary Halloween Score and Soundtrack.
Just Wow! Everyone that reads this site knows that I am a Freddy Krueger guy. But when it comes to the Genre, Halloween 1978 will be one of my all time favorite movies because of the score alone. Just listen. The score brings this entire movie to life. There is a rumor floating around a couple podcast with "inside"? information that when they did the test screening of the film without the finished Score, the crowd absolutely hated this film. But after Carpenter finished the score and added it to the film. Instant Icon. We can not say for sure that Michael Myers would have stood the test of time without John Carpenter and the outstanding score. It gave Michael life and really shook us to the core. Every time I hear this song at a Haunt in the back round, I will not be more then a few days away from watching one of the Halloween films.
Another instance that helped a movie was the Friday the 13th Franchise. You know, The highly debated "ch ch ch ch, ha ha ha"
Just two sound effects brought together and you have a Villain and know when he is about to finally catch some prey. Just listen to how creepy that is. Horrifying. But really, just another case where when we hear this outside of watching the films, It brings us right back to Friday the 13th Franchise. Incredible how audible sounds brings us right back to our favorite things.
The last example for the main stream slasher movies. A Nightmare on Elm Street. Wes Craven and Charles Bernstein really brought the pain and the creeps with this film. from the opening scenes of many nightmare films to the girls jumping ropes. It really feels like you are in Dream Land.
Just the opening Piano brings me right to Elm Street and has for close to 40 years. But let us not forget the Ultra Creepy jump rope. The Freddy Anthem as you will.
What other Horror Icon has his own Anthem. None. Just to show you who the real Slasher star is. No Favoritism there.
With these examples and so many more to go through like "The Exorcist". "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and so many others. It is safe to say that the Score and music in Horror is not just important but as important as the Actors and characters developed. I believe not only is it Vital but it is the most Important part of any Horror Movie. You can design the scariest most inhumane killer of all time, but it will never see the success without the proper score. That third wall to really break in to you mind. It is everything in horror.
That is all we have for you today, we hope you enjoyed the insight to something a lot of people really never notice is the piece that soundtrack and score play in a movie. Well, keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season.

Tuesday's With Nightmare Toys. Candyman Action Figure From NECA
Welcome back to another installment of HH365!! Today we will return to see what Nightmare Toys has to offer up.
Today we will take a look at this outstanding Candyman action figure from NECA. I will let the video do the talking. After seeing this toy, it makes me want to grow my collection passed Freddy Krueger. But that would put me in a deadly downwards spiral in the cash department. Anyway, let us get to this weeks video!
Nicely detailed toy there. That is all we have for you at HH365 today! Make sure you keep coming back to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

Monday Horror Franchise Rankings. A Nightmare On Elm Street
Welcome back to another installment of HH365! Today, we will start a new Monday morning campaign. This segment will take Horror movie franchises and rank them from worst to best. A lot of our favorite horror movies have multiple sequels and this segment will rate all of the movies against them selves to see what movie in the franchise was truly the best. And like what we do at HH365, we start any new segment with our favorite Horror Franchise. You guessed it, A Nightmare On Elm Street. Lets start the show.
A Nightmare on Elm street is technically nine films long. Including one god awful remake that we like to pretend was never made or made in an alternate universe that we do not want to live in. Speaking of the remake, it is ranked number 9 on this list.
9. A Nightmare On Elm Street (Remake) 2010
What in God's green earth is this shit. This was a complete abomination to all mankind. I will maybe one day write a full segment on everything wrong with this film but we will just keep it where it is for this segment. Just all out bad. In a time with good remakes such as the Friday the 13th remake which was great and re-watchable, or the Halloween remake by Rob Zombie which may be hands down my favorite Horror movie. Nightmare fans get this piece of crud. Horrible job all around and I wish there were more movies so I could rank it even lower then 9. Let us continue to number 8 as my blood is starting to boil even thinking about this atrocity.
Number 8. ANOES Part 2.
ANOES Part 2, Freddy's Revenge was an interesting movie. It is hard for me to rank it so low because I do enjoy this film and it was an interesting take on Freddy and coming into the real world. I feel however a lot of rules of the franchise were broken in this film, leading it to be lower in our countdown. At one point in the film, Freddy is at a pool party with a bunch of teens and does his job at slaughtering a lot of them. It is a cool premise, but it is still not understood to this day how he came out of the dream world and into the very 80's pool party. Sure, Jessie turned into Freddy so Freddy could be reborn? A lot of questions and a whole lot that did not make sense and was never wrapped up, this happens in Horror when certain execs just want a sequel for the money crunching. This is not as bad as the remake and had some very good scenes but the story just never really ties into the Franchise. Let us head to number 7.
#7. ANOES 5, The Dream Child.
Nightmare 5, The Dream Child follows right after 4 correctly. The Final Girl Alice is back and was very Naughty. She ends up getting knocked up in the opening scene and gives Freddy an angle to get back to Elm Street. This was a fun movie with a lot of great nightmare scenes. From turning into a crazy Super Freddy to diving into a horrible pool mid dive. This follows the story line pretty well and gives a decent amount of back round story for our Villain. Let us continue to number 6.
#6 Freddy's Dead, The Final Nightmare.
Freddy's Dead, The Final Nightmare. It may not be the best movie ever made and a lot of the acting is suspect but this movie delivers over and over again. I am a huge fan of backstory when it comes to franchises and this movie delivers one that is unmatched in any other horror movie franchise. You get to see a detailed path of the Horror that is Freddy Krueger. From a young child to his hobby growing. Haters really like to crap all over this film, but this film has so much more to add to the character we have been following for a decade at this point. It really adds to the why and not just more gore. This is a must watch for any Freddy Freak. Let us get to number 5.

ANOES 4 The Dream Master. This was an intriguing film. There were quite a few survivors from number three and the movie starts out with 2 and a half of them. Kristen was re casted for number 4 as Patricia Arquette was done with making horror movies or whatever her excuse then was. This follows as Kristen is finally tracked down by Freddy and murdered by fire. Before Kristen is killed, she transfers the power of bringing people into dreams to her shy friend Alice so now she can have help in dreams. The story is more then Freddy chasing kids. You get to watch Alice grow into a Final Girl instead of her just being the strong willed and brainy teen we are used to. At the start of the film, she is very shy and meek. Very weak and kind of an airhead. As the movie goes on and she loses friend after friend. Alice really grows into a Bad Ass Bitch and is done with Kruger taking from her and is ready to stop it. It was a different look into the final girl and we really enjoyed it. Let us move on to number 4.
#4.
Freddy VS Jason. Robert Englund really took the reigns of this film and made it happen. It may be the worst idea with this script after looking through a few others but Robert Englund did not care and made this Freddy worth watching through any terrible acting. It was a cool idea about how elm street managed to forget about Freddy making him weak, so then he looks through hell to find someone similar to wreck havoc on the kids of Elm Street. Freddy shined heavily in this role and who does not love the half hour fight scene at the end. It may be because I waited close to twenty years for this movie to come out and it was the most talked about idea in the school yard across america. But to me, this movie delivered hard. It was easily my Favorite Robert Englund performance as Freddy. Let us get to number 3.
#3
Wes Craven's New Nightmare. Heather is back as Nancy. Robert is back as a different kind of Freddy and himself. Wes Craven even has a role of him self in this movie. This movie is the introduction to Meta Horror. This movie is about if Freddy Krueger was more then a man but a legend that finds him self at home among the stars that played in the first film. This movie was great from start to finish and is always a fun watch. My only issue with this movie is with Freddy Krueger's design and glove. I think we could have left him as regular Freddy and still had a better impact then the new one but we do completely understand why Craven went this way. It really helped the story but nightmare fans hate change. This is a must see for even the lowest fan of Horror. Let us roll on to number two.
#2
The original 1984, A Nightmare On Elm Street. We have covered this movie a lot and we are just going to keep it simple here because if you have not seen this movie, you probably are on the wrong website. The classic fight between Nancy and Freddy will always go down in cinema History as one of the greatest battles of Horror. Freddy is terrifying in this movie and really does not start the humor until the later films to keep the scary intact through out this film. This is Wes Craven's greatest achievement second only to Scream. Let us go to our number one ANOES film of the franchise.
#1
A Nightmare On Elm Street part 3. Dream Warriors. This is my all time ANOES film. This movie has it all. Jumps, Scares and Humor. A great cast of characters and a great script brought this movie to the fore front. After this movie released, Freddy Krueger was a World Wide Phenomenon that is still going strong to this day. This movie put ANOES films on the map and made the world change. You could not go anywhere without seeing Freddy gloves, shirts, hats, mugs anything everywhere! Robert Englund really made Freddy his own with this film. Then you add Dokken for the soundtrack and boom, Freddy Krueger is even on MTV. He was doing talk shows! This is a much watch film for the series. When I sit down to watch the Franchise once or twice a year, this is the film I look forward to. It is the perfect Horror movie for one of the best Horror Franchises out there.
All rights reserved for the borrowed artwork. We believe New Line Cinema owns all of them so they get all the credit. We wanted to use the official movie pictures for each one to bring back the nostalgia. They own them, we do not!
Well, we hope you enjoyed out rankings of ANOES film series. Let us know your thoughts or mainly with this list, how you disagree. We are sure we pissed off a lot of "Film Buffs" off with this ranking but hey, This is how I see the world of A Nightmare On Elm Street Series. Next Monday we will continue this tradition until we run out of franchises to do. If you have a franchise you want our interesting eye to rank, feel free to contact us and we can do it! Until Next time! Keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season.

New Haunt Schedules
Welcome back to another installment of HH365! Today we will take a look at the growing trend of Haunts opening during off season hours and its impact to the community.
It looks like a new trend has started in the Haunt Community. There are a ton more Haunts opening for a day or two during holidays in the off season. We love this as Haunt Fans and look forward to more joining the fun.
The First Haunt in our area to start this trend was Brighton Asylum. They open a few days during the off season for Christmas, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter and the last one is usually around May and our favorite one Night of the Creeps. Takes my two favorite things, Horror Movies and Haunted Attractions.
A few other Haunts in the area have started to add to the fun of opening in the Off Season. The newest member to the Off Season Club is Field of Screams. This year marks the first time Field of Screams have been operational after the Haunt Season.
We usually only make it to Night of the Creeps at Brighton Asylum. This is always a fun night out. Crowds are down but there are still a lot of fans showing up to be scared in the off season. After seeing the crowds that we see on the Off season events, we can tell that they are valuable and profitable. It also keeps your brand in the public's head as only a slight percentage of the population really pay attention to Haunt things through out the year.
Whether its for a first date, or a family night out, make sure you make it some Haunted Attractions in the off season too. They are just as fun now as they are during Halloween!
That is all we have for HH365 Today! But keep coming back to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

FUN FACTS FRIDAY! A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET
Welcome back to another Installment of HH365! Today we will start something new that many Horror fans and I find Interesting. We will start a new segment called, "FUN FACTS FRIDAY". It will cover some of the most well known Horror movies of our time and just give ten quick fun facts that some people may not know. Of course, Some of us diehards of the Franchises will probably know the lot. Where as some may not know many. But let us start with my Favorite Franchise. 10 Fun Facts About A Nightmare on Elm Street.
10. Freddy Krueger really was a bully. The Famed Villain was named after a Bully of Director Wes Craven growing up. You need to be careful of who you mess with.
9. That Pure Evil Ugly Sweater was not a mistake. It is scientifically designed to be scary. The colors Red and Green together do horrible things to your brain when see overlapping, causing you to already feel uneasy looking at his sweater.
8. Freddy Krueger's Face Design Is Delicious. The Art team met with Craven at a pizza shop to actually pitch the idea of the burn victim. The main artist started to form Freddy's face out of a pepperoni pizza. YUM!
7. The Infamous Fedora was a thing of Nightmares before Freddy was developed. Another inspiration for our famed Nightmare Crawler came when Wes was a young kid and awake looking out the window very late at night. A Stranger wearing a fedora stopped in the middle of walking and Wes fells like he could feel him staring at him. The Stranger looked up and his Fedora covered most of his eyes has he gave a scary scowl back up at Wes. Wes then heard the front door of the Apartment building open and he went running for his covers and that was one of the biggest inspirations for our man Krueger.
6. It is loosely based on a real life story. Wes Craven read about a Teenage Boy who died from his Nightmares. For weeks, the Child was doing everything he could from falling asleep from "Caffeine pills" to "Coffeemakers in his bedroom". Hmm Familiar. Once the child finally fell asleep. He did not wake up again.
5. One of the Original Gloves used in the Original nightmare On Elm Street was stolen and is still missing to this day. My money points to Robert England, It is Most definitely NOT at my house!
4. ANOES was Johnny Depp's first film. Turned into one hell of a career if you ask me.
3. We actually have Freddy Krueger to Thank for Luke Skywalker. Way back when Star Wars, A New Hope was casting. A young Robert England and Mark Hamill were roommates. Robert England did the casting call for Star Wars and when he returned home he talked Mark Hamill into giving it a shot. The rest is History in a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
2. Noone Wanted This Movie. Wes Craven and Bob Shaye basically had to Guerrilla Market this movie to theaters on their own to get this movie to play. This movie is the reason why New Line Cinema became so large of a movie company. A lot of hard work by Robert Shaye, An amazing piece of art by Wes Craven gave birth to one of the biggest names in movies in the 1980s and 1990s. It really was the house that Krueger built.
1. The Entire Movie, with the real time special effects with no CGI, Only took 32 days to complete shooting. So all of the crazy nightmare scenes from Tina flying around a room, Rod being hung, A phone trying to hook up with Nancy and my all time favorite kill in any horror movie, the juicing of Glen. All took just 32 days to shoot. Amazing considering they did not have the tools we do today, and besides that. It always looks better with practical effects.

2020 Horror Movies We Are Excited About!
Welcome Back to another installment of HH365! Today we are continuing the segment about what movies we are looking forward to in 2020.
Today we will talk about the new Halloween movie releasing in October. Halloween Kills. This movie takes place right after the latest Halloween movie ended. Where Laurie Strode and her remaining family members trap Mr. Myers in the panic room basement and light the entire place ablaze. Well, in true Myers fashion, this was not enough to end the Psychopaths reign of terror against Laurie.
There is not too much information available for the upcoming Slasher, but we are sure it will continue the new John Carpenter timeline.
I will be completely transparent. I really did not enjoy the new Halloween movie as much as I should have. The new timeline attempted to make it scarier as there is no rhyme or reason for Michael to be after Laurie the original night and in the new Myers Universe. Maybe, I am just too much of a fan of the existing story line that the new movie really did not keep with me like the others. But! It is still a Slasher flick coming out so I will be there to see it! What movies are you guys looking forward to?
