FUN FACTS FRIDAY HALLOWEEN IV THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS

Welcome back to another edition of HH365! As you can see we skipped Halloween III because it really does not with the Franchise theme of Halloween but let us get started with 10 fun facts around Halloween IV The Return Of Michael Myers.

1. Danielle Harris sold the clown costume to a fan. I would have loved to have that hanging on the wall.

2. The girl Lindsey who drove Rachel and Jamie to the discount mart was going to be revealed as Lindsey Wallace from Halloween (1978) and have a larger part in the film as Rachel's friend and helping her babysit Jamie, but that was cut for budget reasons. The third boy hanging out with Brady and Wade in the drug store was meant to be Tommy Doyle from the original film.

3. Jamie's name in the original script was Brittan "Britti" Lloyd but was changed in honor to Jamie Lee Curtis.

4. The drugstore set was also used in Stephen King's The Stand (1994).

5. The Vincent Drug Store that Jamie goes to buy a costume from is seen five years later in The Sandlot (1993) when Smalls is on his way to the "Sandlot" for the first time.

6. This film is the first time Michael Myers was credited with a name other than "The Shape", the credit given in parts 1, 2, and 6.

7. Melissa Joan Hart auditioned for the role of Jamie Lloyd, but didn't get it. Carmen Filpi, who played Reverend Jackson P. Sayer in this film, later went on to guest star in an episode of Hart's sitcom, Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

8. George P. Wilbur (Michael Myers) has said in an interview that his favorite kill in the movie is when he kills Kelly by pinning her to the wall with the shotgun.

9. The body count for this film was an impressive 19 including a pet.

10. The original ending had Rachel go upstairs to take a shower and replace the dirty, blood-stained clothes she was wearing only to have Jamie sneak up behind her and stab her to death.

HAUNT ACTOR INTERVIEWS! THE WHITE WITCH

Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we continue with another interview from across the pond in Ireland. Today we meet The White Witch. Let us begin the interview!

1. How long have you been Haunting for?

10 years this year.


2. What brings you back to haunting year after year?

I’m a horror nerd underneath it all. I have always been the weird girl who collected dead things and made weird stuff at school. Now I do it for a living, the acting is just the cherry on the cake for me.  Getting into costume to me can be very therapeutic, you can do a lot of good in releasing stress and physically moving in a way that not only helps bring the character to life but also helps you through some heavy stuff in one month that no therapist will do in 10 years. It’s given me confidence in who I am as a person by pushing me out of my comfort zone year on year, I’ve met my best friends and found my niche. Ask any haunter, its challenging in every way but at the end of the day its so rewarding.


3. Where did you start Haunting?

I’ve been a little creep since I was a child but professionally I’m proud to say I’ve been haunting with the same haunt since 2011, The Nightmare Realm in Dublin, Ireland. They’ve been voted Europe's Best Independent Haunt Attraction this year which was a really proud moment for everyone involved.


4. What is your favorite part of a night in the Haunt?

Opening hour. The buzz and atmosphere is deadly, the customers are lined up waiting to go into the first haunt and all want to get photos with me and (another scare actor) Molly as we’re the haunts ‘icons’ they see us the most. We have free reign of the haunt spaces indoor and outdoor so we’re literally everywhere. You can’t get away from us. Sometimes it feels like the other way around though, some people are serious fans :)


5. What is the worst part of working in a Haunt?

The verbal sexual comments from not only men who should know better but children who don’t understand what they’re saying.  It just really highlights whats wrong with society in my opinion.


6. What is your all-time favorite scare onto a customer?

I actually don’t have a specific one. A whole bunch come to mind over the years. The most satisfying scares are when I don’t try too hard and the tough boys still get freaked. Last year a teenager squared up to me aggressively showing off in the queue to his friends, I wasn’t even trying to prove myself to him so I just growled suddenly after a long while of simply staring at him. He actually jumped so hard that he fell on to his ass from standing. Everyone saw, the security guards broke their shite laughing and I gave him the knowing ‘that is not how you treat haunters’ look and walked away to the crowd cheering. It was satisfying to say the least.


7. What is your Favorite Haunted Attraction outside of your Haunt?

I haven’t been to any other haunts in Ireland because I’m always working in October! but there is some really cool haunts in England I’ve been to over the years, Thorpe Park have Fright Nights and Alton Towers have some great mini haunts. I’ve been to Halloween Horror Nights as well which I loved for the perfect sets and setting.



8. What is your favorite Theme in a Haunt Attraction?

Anything witch-y, set in the woods, Blair witch or Outlast style. I love the pagan ritual vibes, nasty gritty and grimy. Chainsaws, cornfields and clowns just don’t do it for me.


9. Do you have further plans with the Haunted Attraction Industry?

I’d love to work in American haunts as a travelling guest act. Maybe one day!


10. Where does your inspiration for your Character come from?

My character is only known as the White Witch, originally because the costume being all one colour - off white. Which now over the years has turned pretty grey.. She doesn’t have a first name, doesn’t blink or speak. She’s not nice, she’s actually pretty gross and nasty. She spits and dribbles black gunge from her mouth, she’s a crawling, demonic, contortion bending, growling, staring entity. She’s not a typical witch, shes more of a possessed rabid zombie. Her loose backstory is that she was released from a Ouija board by accident and has been here to stay ever since.  I say ‘she’ because I’m female but the character itself has never specified the gender, I’m always getting called a man when im scaring which I find hilarious, so I’ve never confirmed or denied if the witch is female. People also think the witch is in some form of relationship with Molly Mayhem, which neither of us have confirmed or denied adding to the drama.

11. What are you most looking forward to in the 2020 Haunt Season?

Just getting back into my character full time and growing the online audience around her. The witch has always been the realms ‘scariest’ character and people always want a photo but don’t want to stay close for too long. Last year Molly pushed the witch to be more social, she got instagram for the first time. So this year im looking forward to navigating that side of things, letting the audience see my character on screen was always something I was interested in but never wanted to do because of online hate. People are really verbal about my character in real life so I didn’t fancy getting that online either. People will still be scared of the character because she’s nasty but hopefully with an online platform they will appreciate the character more. So far people have been really lovely!

12. Do you expect Haunt Season 2020 to be vastly different than other seasons?

Hard to know. In some ways I know the irish are mad to get back to having a schedule and some form of normalcy, with events being closed all summer I feel like we could be really busy when we are open in October. Our audience is mad to get out and do something, we would be the first event open this year. That is a scary thought! In other ways then there is definitely a fear of a 2nd wave of Covid so there is always that risk.


13. How long does your make up setup take per night?

As an icon of the haunt I have a specific look that requires the same artist every night, Icons are in the seats first because we have to be ready for the public first. I sit for airbrushing for 10-15 minutes getting contour and white out and after that I spend 30 minutes adding in finer details like veining myself then the wig goes on. So around 45 minutes. We have a lot of actors so I’ve had to learn how to do 75% of the makeup myself to save time for our artists.


14. How often do you work on your Character?

Because the character is owned by the business and not my own original creation, outside of October I usually jump into costume for sponsored work events, photo and video shoots. With the boom in TikTok and now the witch having instagram I’m in costume for work a lot more than haunt season!

15. What do you do for a living outside of haunting?

I work in the building industry creating props, sets, costume and masks predominately for the haunt I work for as well as other companies. I also work in media marketing specializing in social media.

1. How long have you been Haunting for?
This year will be my 7th but I've been spooking all my life


2. What brings you back to haunting year after year?
 The freedom to express my self artistically and use my ability for entertainment to suck people into our little world


3. Where did you start Haunting?
Cork, Ireland The Nightmare Realm


4. What is your favorite part of a night in the Haunt?
 When the screams begin


5. What is the worst part of working in a Haunt? Physical abuse from customers and people who are only there to start trouble


6. What is your all-time favorite scare onto a customer?
So many to have a favorite. But replacing an aopearing demon for a fellow actor who was going on a walk through and tickling the hit out of him while simultaneously scaring his pants off. Also holding boyfriends hands in the dark and pretending to be their scared girlfriends till they reach the light.             
What is your Favorite Haunted Attraction outside of your Haunt?
Unfortunately I am unable to attend as I've always been working


7. What is your favorite Theme in a Haunt Attraction?
Carnival heheh


8. Do you have further plans with the Haunted Attraction Industry?
 Expand into video and animation and keep progressing with set lighting and sound design


9. Where does your inspiration for your Character come from?
Myself heavily with influences in demeanor from Beetle juice, Krusty the clown and bags of glue


10. What are you most looking forward to in the 2020 Haunt Season?
Working on new bits of crowd interaction. I try to come up with new small group routines which rely heavily on my ability to inprov on the spot. I bring out props to work with like bitcoin or clipclop to the show remains fluid and not a repetition from night to night. It's more entertaining for me and the crowd.


11. Do you expect Haunt Season 2020 to be vastly different than other seasons?
Yeah I am not sure hopefully less crowding through the haunt and also people need some serious recreational entertainment after all this being locked in business.


12. How long does your make up setup take per night?
If I take my time I can spend an hr 40 mins but can do it in a half hr to a hr, if needs be I have a ritual and music the whole lot


13. How often do you work on your Character?
Every freekin day man. That's how the inprov works so well. The trick is to remember to leave the monster at work sometimes

14. What do you do for a living outside of haunting?
I am an artist. A videographer. A paintball marshall. Delivery driver. Boat yard worker general hustler handyman inventor. I do lighting for small gigs and film projects too.  Also a musician. But not much money in music that's for fun.

HAUNT PROP MONDAY! BROUGHT TO YOU BY THEHORRORDOME.COM

This prop looks outstanding like all of their other pieces. It has a great look to all the Gore and looks like this dude is in a lot of pain. This would be fun anywhere in your Haunted Attraction. FUN FACTS FRIDAY! HALLOWEEN II 1981

Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we start a new Franchise fun facts for this Friday. We already did the Original in past posts so we will keep the Franchise Train moving on Fun Facts Friday with Halloween II from 1981! I enjoy this film a lot and it is one of my Favorites in the Franchise! So with out further Ado! !0 fun facts from Halloween II.

1. Halloween II was originally written to take place in a High Rise building. In Script meetings, it was changed to Haddonfield Hospital.

2. Dick Warlock is the shortest Actor to play Michael Myers. He even wore lifts to appear taller.

3. The water from my favorite scene in the movie with the "Hot-Tub" was actually freezing cold.

4. Movie was filmed at Morningside Hospital in L.A. which had recently closed and had been torn down.

5. Jamie Lee Curtis did some of her own stunts for the film. The one where she fell out of the car on to the asphalt was all Jamie Lee.

6. Due to the Violence and Nudity, it was banned in Iceland and West Germany.

7. Dana Carvey had a brief Cameo in this film.

8. This is the last Halloween Film that Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Plesance were in together.

9. The way Janet finds Dr. Mixter's body is Identical to the way Ms. Bates body is found in Psycho. and is immediately killed right after.

10. Even though Jamie Lee Curtis received Top Billing, Donald Pleasance was on screen a lot more time.

HAUNT ACTOR INTERVIEWS! MOLLY MAYHEM!

Welcome back to another episode of HH365! Today we continue our Haunt Actor Interviews and this one hails from the great country of Ireland! You read that correctly, HH365 has gone International for 2020! We thought we would be excited for crossing the Country last year? Now we are on a whole new playing field! Thank you to The Nightmare Realm for reaching out and letting us Interview some of your Actors! Let us stop talking and meet Molly! Let's Go!

1. How long have you been Haunting for?
It will be my fifth year this year!

2. What brings you back to haunting year after year?
I love the adrenaline rush that comes with the job! There’s really nothing quite like it!

3. Where did you start Haunting?
I started at The Nightmare Realm in Dublin in 2016 and have been there every since!

4. What is your favorite part of a night in the Haunt?
It has to be the start of the night! The energy is so high and you can feel the atmosphere throughout the place!

5. What is the worst part of working in a Haunt?
The customers that push it too far, and intentionally hit an actor or mess around with the props inside the haunt. They are the WORST type of people to ever walk through.  Not only do they ruin the experience for other people within the Haunt, but they put the actors in risk of getting hurt. It’s not acceptable.

6. What is your all-time favorite scare onto a customer?
That’s a toughy, there’s so many to choose from! I think it has to be when I’m walking down towards the queuing area and everyone’s watching me, yet  I do nothing.The music in the background is edging me on. I stay silent, waiting for my moment to pounce and when I do, their screams are my satisfaction!!!
It’s so worth it, I feel like such a bad ass!
7. What is your Favorite Haunted Attraction outside of your Haunt?
Funnily enough, I was never really into horror until I joined The Nightmare Realm. I would be what some people may call, The Ultimate CHICKEN! The first proper haunt I walked through was The Nightmare Realm itself, after I signed my contract….Even without any actors inside, it was the most terrifying experience I have ever put myself in! But five  years later, here I am, watching at least 2 horrors a week! If I had to pick another Haunt to go to, it would have to be Halloween Horror Nights! I want to see if their reputation is worth the hype.

8. What is your favorite Theme in a Haunt Attraction?
I love Asylum! Maybe it’s because I want to scare in a straight jacket one day, but then again, nothing scares people more than the human mind. It’s more real. Losing your mind can happen to anyone.

9. Do you have further plans with the Haunted Attraction Industry?
I’d love to get more involved with behind the scenes, that’s the dream anyway! To make it more of a permanent job, rather than seasonal!

10. Where does your inspiration for your Character come from?
Molly Mayhem is an original character created by The Nightmare Realm! The story goes that Molly was  born from evil, literally slithering out into to this world from her mother Milucra, making a deal with a deadly demon named Sugat, her soul for longevity. Molly is the type of character who doesn’t do what she’s told, instead she spends her days causing Complete chaos!

The idea behind Molly was to create a character distinctly Irish, the name Molly being synonymous with Dublin, her long red hair and a true brattiness that’s relatable to teens and parents alike. She’s a bit of fun, cheeky with a quick tongue but also a dark side that you don’t want to mess with!

11. What are you most looking forward to in the 2020 Haunt Season?
To see how different haunting can be if we have to follow restrictions due to the pandemic. It’ll definitely make things more interesting.

12. Do you expect Haunt Season 2020 to be vastly different than other seasons?
Definitely in terms of the pandemic! It will make us think outside the box that little bit more. For example, If we have to change scare tactics to fit the social distancing rules, then that alone changes everything. Actors will have to be retaught, the structure of the set will have to be changed, just everything will be different. But if we succeed in creating a new approach, then who knows, we might create a new element of scaring that will exceed other techniques. We’ll just have to wait and see.
13. How long does your make up setup take per night?
About 30 minutes!! Getting your make up done is like the calm before the storm! As soon as you’re ready, the mayhem begins! My MUAs are amazing, they’re so patient when it comes to creating my character! You should check out their instas @aoiferoo_ and @teresa_fernandes_fx. You won’t be disappointed!

14. How often do you work on your Character?
All the time! I believe that there’s always  room for improvement. I take inspiration from my fellow actors, movies and books! I think it’s more fun to expand your scaring tactics, instead of sticking to the one scare all the time. Yes that may be something you know you’re good at, but you may surprise yourself at what else your ability can stretch to.

15. What do you do for a living outside of haunting?
  I’m a shop assistant! It’s nothing special but it pays the bills!

HAUNT ACTOR INTERVIEWS SKITZ CULT!

Welcome back to another episode of HH365! Today we continue some more Interviews with these talented Haunt Actors. Today as you can see from the title, we have SkitzCult! Let's go!

1. How long have you been Haunting for?
 I have been working at Field Of Terror for about 4 or 5 seasons and I worked The Dark Carnival for half a season.

2. What brings you back to haunting year after year?
The atmosphere. I love haunts and horror. So just getting into character and being a whole different person for a night is amazing. I am very awkward in person, so to put the mask on and get to let it all out is an amazing feeling.

3. Where did you start Haunting?
I started at a charity haunt in NJ with my mom for one night. They gave us sheets and put us near a lake and we were supposed to be the lake spirits. But, my first legit haunt was The Dark Carnival and that’s what really got me hooked.

4. What is your favorite part of a night in the Haunt?
My favorite part is when I first get into my scene. The other people in my scene, we just sit there and bullshit for a few minutes. Then I get my music on and really get into character and to watch it go from light to dark and see the flames come on at the front of the corn. we then hear the person at front let the first group in. It just gets the adrenaline pumping.

5. What is the worst part of working in a Haunt?
It’s a mix between the rude customers and the long weekends. I work a full time job 40+ hours a week so in October I don’t get a single day off. Also, not being able to do stuff during the Halloween season.

6. What is your all-time favorite scare onto a customer?
That’s a rough one. I have checked off a lot of stuff on the bucket list of scares. But the best one I had was when I came rolling out of the corn with my chainsaw a group jumped ran (knocking down half the damn corn) and one girl froze, I saw her eyes roll to the back of her head and she dropped. Like body stiff white eyes dropped and was not responding. We called the EMT and her friends came back grabbed her bags and ran when they heard the EMT and Police were coming. They did some stuff to her and she eventually came back into it and was fine. But oh my god was I freaking out at first. All the first responders wanted to take a group photo with me after because they thought it was funny as hell but I thought I killed someone.

7. What is your Favorite Haunted Attraction outside of your Haunt?
That’s also a tough one because we have some great haunts on the east coast but id have to say Bloodshed Farms. I got to guest act there for a weekend and there crew of actors and managers there are amazing. Everyone was so welcoming and you could really tell the comrade there. Specially right before they go out  to there spots for the night and there doing there chants that got the blood pumping. Also I Love Scary Rotten Farms, I always try and go there on an off night!

8. What is your favorite Theme in a Haunt Attraction?
I love them all, I love seeing what new creative things people can come up with. If I had to choose I would say anything that involves a room where it looks like the a psycho brings his victims to torture. Specially when its done really detailed and good. Like and old TV in the room playing something weird. Just dirty smelly blood soaked chair with a table of knifes, pliers and stuff like that. Definitely if the rooms got some grind or doom metal playing adds to my liking factor.

9. Do you have further plans with the Haunted Attraction Industry?
Absolutely hope so. I have devoted a lot of time into being a scare actor. When trainers do love streams I am always in there learning. I have been to a few online seminars for different things in the industry. So i would definitely love to be able to take this further. I have met so many great people already and when its not haunt season I am just itching to get back.

10. Where does your inspiration for your Character come from?
It comes from me I guess. Like, my outfits.  If you saw me outside as normal person I wear the same clothes hahaha, like my vest I wear as skitz is my everyday vest in real life. I am big into punk and hardcore so vests studs patches are all that I incorporate into my character because its what i am comfortable in and when you are comfortable with your look I feel it enhances your mood and really gets you into character. My personality in Skitz is also just my inner personality. I was bullied a lot when I was younger and my job I deal with a lot of snotty upper class folks. So I take all that rage and bring it out in my character. So it’s a world wind of personalities that comes out between me being happy to raging to laying on the floor eating dirt talking to myself.(yes I did that and everyone walking by questioned If I was actually mentally unstable haha)

11. What are you most looking forward to in the 2020 Haunt Season?
Just getting back out there doing what I love! I am hoping to get to guest act at a few more places .

12. Do you expect Haunt Season 2020 to be vastly different than other seasons?
100% with everything going on I feel its going to be a lot different. Maybe a lot of people wont come out due to worrying about getting sick or whatever. But people come to haunts to escape the real world. So if were allowed to open this year I will being giving 110% because that’s what everyone needs after this. Some entertainment and just a night to escape the bullshit.

13. How long does your make up setup take per night?
Usually about 20 minutes to put my contacts on with my black out make up on. The thing that takes the longest is undressing to my knee caskets and knee pads and then put my costume back on.

14. How often do you work on your Character?
All year long. I am always adding and removing things. I don’t think anyone is ever 100% happy with their character. There is always something new you can do to enhance it.

15. What do you do for a living outside of haunting?
I work the front office at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. So, when you walk in the front door you see my smiling face haha. If only they’d let me come as Skitz one Halloween that’d be awesome

FUN FACTS FRIDAY! FREDDY VS JASON!

Welcome back everyone to HH365! Today we finalize the Fun Facts for the Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise! It was a long road but we all learned things about the films we never knew before so I have enjoyed bringing that information to your screen! Today we cover one of my closet favorite films, Freddy Vs Jason! Yes, not the best of either Franchise but it is a must watch for me, so let us get to the facts.

1. Betsy Palmer turned down the role to come back as Jason's Mother. She felt that the role was too small for her.

2. This was the first Freddy movie not filmed in the United States. Filmmakers had to hunt for a house that was very close to the Famous 1428 Elm Street.

3. Rob Zombie was offered the Director chair for this film. He turned it down to finish his project House of a Thousand Corpses. This pains me so bad because this could have been Legendary.

4. As a little girl, Monica Keena's Fear of Freddy Krueger was so bad that her Teachers believed she was being abused at home.

5. The Special Effects team used 300 Gallons of fake blood for the movie.

6. New Line Cinema attempted to make this movie in the late 1980's. Just like you heard in the school yards, but they could never reach an agreement with Paramount.

7. One of Robert Englund's Stunt Doubles was Rey Mysterio Jr the famous Wrestler.

8. Gibb is always shown wearing a red baseball hat. This is a reference to Carrie, where PJ Soles character always wore a Red Baseball Hat.

9. Freddy's Boiler Room in the film was not a set. It was an actual Boiler room redressed.

10. Two Stunt Doubles melted their wigs during the Fire Scene at the end.

HAUNT ACTOR INTERVIEWS FRANKIE!!!!

Welcome back to another episode of Halloween Haunts 365.com! Today we continue our Haunt Actor Interviews. If you are some of your staff would like to participate, just reach out to us over on the right on any Social Media platform and we will tell you how its done, it is very simple and easy to do and we want you guys to have the recognition you deserve! Now, let us meet Frankie!

1. How long have you been Haunting for?
  As a child my family was pretty involved in Halloween and I would look forward to the season all year, but when I was around 13-17 years old (27 now) I volunteered at a few local haunts that would be taken down after the season giving me a real taste of raw Haunting. It wasn’t until 2015 that I found my home current Haunt Brighton Asylum which has taken all the aspects of what I love about Haunting and really taken things to the next level in terms of Atmosphere and performance!

2. What brings you back to haunting year after year?
  I crave the creative stimulation performing provides and Haunting is something where you don’t have to hold back with ideas.  I love interacting with thousands of guests while being able to set a tone and make them feel immersed. I love to be in character and entertain people.  Also, I love Fall smells like the crisp Autumn air and those Halloween Yankee Candle specials......

3. Where did you start Haunting?
  First experience Haunting ever in my life would have been at my Catholic School Halloween dance. My Mom and Dad along with a bunch of other parents dressed up and decorated behind the stage of a gymnasium. I can remember sticking my head out from behind the curtains with a mask on and seeing all the other kids at my school freak out.

4. What is your favorite part of a night in the Haunt?
  My favorite part is when my fellow actors and I are able to feed off of each other while we are outside on Queue because it creates a lot more depth to a Haunt in general. I love ambiance and setting the tone for different scenarios throughout each performance.

5. What is the worst part of working in a Haunt?
  I lack sleep because of my fulltime job and the Haunting schedule.

6. What is your all-time favorite scare onto a customer?
  The scare that breaks the tough guy act and makes them genuinely creeped out. The one where they don’t know if it's real or fake anymore. The one that makes them question.

7. What is your Favorite Haunted Attraction outside of your Haunt?
  I was fortunate enough to win a trip to Halloween Horror Nights through Brighton Asylum and I was really impressed by the sets, themes, and makeup. The overall vibe of Universal Studios during Halloween Season really did it for me.

8. What is your favorite Theme in a Haunt Attraction? 
   I'm a sucker for any Theme with a secret passage. I also really like well-done Library sets                                                                                                                                                                                                               
9. Do you have further plans with the Haunted Attraction Industry?
  I have plans for both the Haunted Attraction Industry and TV/Film!!!

10. Where does your inspiration for your Character come from?
  My inspiration comes from various places but for the most part the dry blueprint of my character “Frankie” was supposed to be my personality but with aggressive tendencies and selfish almost narcissistic. I like to pull inspiration from darker music mostly the metal genres Deathcore and Hardcore to help me use my diaphragm so I can create distortion and weird unsettling tones when I'm talking or yelling. I also pull some inspiration from RPG video games and how they put NPC characters to guide you during a playthrough. During a performance I'll see certain guests outside and then because I'm able to roam the entire Haunt this gives me the ability to meet them, follow them or ambush them. I will wait propped up against a wall with my hands crossed until the guests interact with me first. I guess that’s where I was going with the NPC character point!

11. What are you most looking forward to in the 2020 Haunt Season?
  I'm most looking forward to performing with the other actors and being able to immerse into the sets again. I've done stage combat, a little TV, and Theater but the raw energy and creativity that happens during Haunt Season is my favorite.

12. Do you expect Haunt Season 2020 to be vastly different than other seasons?
  Yes and No. I do expect there to be some changes on how things are run but for the most part I feel like people will be happy to be experiencing safe frights and laughs again.

13. How long does your make up setup take per night?
         It usually takes our wonderful makeup artist who created the early stages of my look                     about an hour with final touches. I love the process but by then I'm usually so ready to be in full character that sitting in the makeup chair messes with me.

14. How often do you work on your Character?
  I'm guilty of always thinking about what I can do to make my character better in any way. It’s a passion to bring to life a character that you feel is special. The customers are always trying to trip me up and ask me questions about my origin so it’s a blessing that I'm always thinking lol!

15. What do you do for a living outside of haunting?
  I work for the state of NJ at the Palisades Interstate Park. When I'm not serving food at the café that overlooks the Hudson River, I'm either collecting the recycling around the other sites in the Park or telling people not to stand on the rock wall where there's a 480 ft drop and a sign that literally tells them not to do that.

HAUNT ACTOR INTERVIEWS!! KARNAGE!

Welcome back to another episode of HH365! Today we will continue our showcase of Haunt Actor interviews from some of the most talented people in our Industry. Let us meet Karnage, another Talented individual. Let us begin the interview.

1. How long have you been Haunting for?
I think it's 6 years now, this coming season would be my 7th I believe

2. What brings you back to haunting year after year?
The screams.  The excitement. Scaring the crap outta people.  It's cathartic, it's a release.

3. Where did you start Haunting?
I started at the Mount Holly haunted prison.  Which evolved into bloodshed farms after needing to find a new location.

4. What is your favorite part of a night in the Haunt?
All of it. The buzz of everyone getting ready, makeup being done. Seeing the whole beast come to life.  All the haunters getting themselves pumped and prepared for a fun night.

5. What is the worst part of working in a Haunt?
It's hard work on many levels. The construction and design. But probably the end of a long night. Although, you had a blast scaring and entertaining groups all night.  The after, when the adrenaline and excitement wear off and you are tired, sore, sometimes cold or wet. The physical exhaustion. But, it's a double edged knife, what you did to make yourself that exhausted was so much fun that it mostly overrides the exhaustion.

6. What is your all-time favorite scare onto a customer?
There are so many! OK, this one from my first weekend of haunting.  I was given a chainsaw on my first night. ( I was friends with grin and no stranger to using a chainsaw.) this was before Karnage actually existed too.  I was put in makeup and working the chainsaw area with grin that night just helping him out.  We immediately fed off of each and just clicked, knew what the other was doing and it really was so much fun. Anyway, I digress, these two girls come through and are terrified, we had them surrounded and the one girl cowered and peed herself.  From that moment on I was hooked!

 There's one I want to tell you about.... But I would rather you experience it. Muahaha!
I'll just say this....  The worms crawl in and the worms crawl out.......


7. What is your Favorite Haunted Attraction outside of your Haunt?
I would have to say probably field of screams in PA. Over the years I have become friends with a bunch of their crew and have had a blast working there on occasion.

8. What is your favorite Theme in a Haunt Attraction?
I'm definitely partial to a good clown or circus theme. But I'm also a fan of the post apocalyptic stuff too.

9. Do you have further plans with the Haunted Attraction Industry?
I definitely do.  With some health and injuries I have to overcome I'm not sure exactly what that role it might be but I'm not done yet. I've been working on making some props and costumes on the side for a while now.  Maybe something more will come from that.

10. Where does your inspiration for your Character come from?
I have always been partial to clowns, creepy clowns. Loved the movie killer klowns from outer space growing up.   It didn't scare me, although the original it mini series did scare me at first but pennywise quickly grew on me too.  Fast forward a decade or two, hahaha.   Here comes captain Spaulding. I took a fair bit of inspiration from that character to develop Karnage.

11. What are you most looking forward to in the 2020 Haunt Season?
I guess with the current state of the world, I'm just hoping there is one.  I'm not sure what role I'll be able to play this haunt season, but hopefully I can still play!

12. Do you expect Haunt Season 2020 to be vastly different than other seasons?
Ideally, I hope by then the world is back to normal and maybe only minor adjustments are needed for everyone to feel safe.

13. How long does your make up setup take per night?
I can be ready to go in about 20 minutes.
(kinda why I went full silicone mask)

14. How often do you work on your Character?
Always. Constantly thinking about new things. New gags or bits to say and do. I'm always trying to evolve him.  I have some plans for him in the future that are not haunt related.  You'll just have to wait and see what happens!

15. What do you do for a living outside of haunting?
I was a heavy truck and equipment technician for years.  Then I was a store manager for two different national chains. Now I'm laid off hoping to get things back on track soon.

TUESDAYS WITH NIGHTMARE TOYS! MEZCO MEGA JASON Friday the 13th!

Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today is Tuesday so we will continue our Tuesday with Nightmare Toys. Today we check out a massive figure coming out of Mezco. Mega Jason is a very different kind of toy and it is Huge! One of the biggest Jason figures I have seen with his big Machete and good detailing on the mask, this is completely a must have for any Voorhees collection!

FUN FACTS FRIDAY! WES CRAVEN'S NEW NIGHTMARE

Welcome back to HH365! Today we return back to Fun Facts Friday. Today we look at some fun facts from this gem. Wes Craven's New Nightmare. This was one of the first "Meta" movies that Craven has founded. It is also a cool look into the nightmare Franchise when the Actors have to play them self with things they have actually dealt with. Let us get to the Ten Fun Facts about this movie, we are excited to see and learn more that we probably did not know before.

1. Heather Langenkamp had a stalker in real life, She gave Wes permission to weave it into the story.

2. Freddy in this film is closer that what Wes Craven originally visioned the Character to be. Darker, Less Humor and bigger.

3. The movie has no opening credits to keep it a mystery of what the film was.

4. In the scene where Heather Dials up Robert, The theme from A Nightmare on Elm Street is played with the button pressing.

5. In the scene where Dylan reaches for Heaven. The spaceship he was standing on was purchased by the Actor's father and placed in his backyard.

6. This is the longest film in the Franchise at 1:52.

7. In the final scene, where Dylan stabs Freddy's tongue in the oven, you can hear the famous Psycho Shower music.

8. Heather Langenkamp's Husband in real life turned down the role of himself.

9. All of the footage from the Earthquake that happened in the movie was actual news footage as they were just recently hit with an Earthquake.

10. Dr. Heffner is a nod to Richard Heffner, head of the MPAA. And a real thorn in Wes Craven's film making experience.

HAUNT ACTOR INTERVIEWS!!!! JECKEL SKELETON!

Welcome back to another installment of HH365! Today we continue coverage of some great Haunt Actors who make the Action we all know and love. Let us continue with Jeckel Skeleton. Let us get to the interview!

1. How long have you been haunting for?
I have been acting since 2006. I have acted all over the state of Pennsylvania. Working many different Haunts including Jason's Woods, HHN Orlando, Field of Screams and many more. My parent's used to run a Haunt in a Campground as well.

2. What brings you back to Haunting Year after Year?
The adrenaline rush from scaring the test subjects, oops, I mean Victims, No, Wait, that is not right, I mean Fans. I also enjoy teaching people new things about the Haunt Industry like new tactics and jump scares.

3. Where did you start Haunting?
I started at two places originally. I worked for my parent's at their Haunt and also Jason's Woods.

4. What is your favorite part of a night in a Haunt?
The sense of fear you get off of the fans walking through the Attraction. Also I enjoy getting into my Character.

5. What is the worst part of working in a Haunt?
The abusive customers. Also I hate to see when Parents bring children under the age of ten inside the Attraction. I used to be very afraid before I became and Actor and do not want to see Children needing therapy.

6. What is your all-time favorite scare onto a Customer?
Hopping over Hayrides from side to side when the lights flash blinding peoples eye sight. Then I can blindly jump scare the customer.

7. What is your Favorite Haunted Attraction outside of your own?
Hmm. I would have to say HHN Orlando but a very close second is one where I used to work, Pennhurst Asylum.

8. What is your favorite Theme in a Haunted Attraction?
Cemetery. I know it is old fashioned but I feel at home.

9. Do you have further plans with the Haunted Attraction Industry?
I want to eventually become a Manager at the Haunt I work at.

10. Where does the inspiration for your Character come from?
The inspiration for my Character actually comes slightly from the Crypt Keeper from Tales from the Crypt. I grew up watching Tales from the Crypt as a Child then eventually put my own spin on it. I also had a skeleton in my Art Class in school which resulted in my love for skeletons.

11. What are you most looking forward to in the 2020 Haunt Season?
Seeing all of the new Actors coming in and looking forward to working with them.

12. Do you expect the 2020 Haunt Season to be vastly different then other Seasons?
yes, due to the whole Pandemic we are going through, I do expect some things to be different when they decide to finally open up it will be great.

13. How long does your make up set up take per night?
The costume takes about 15-20 minutes then the make up takes 20-25 minutes to put on.

14. How often do you work on your Character?
Monthly, He always needs some work but when it comes time to play, we are ready in minutes.

15. What do you do for a living outside of Haunting?
I work for a Family Business and Family Bakery.

Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we continue our Haunt Actor Interviews of some very talented and fun loving people who love scaring the crap out of people every Fall. Let us meet Cheeks and continue the trend. Let's Go!

1. How long have you been Haunting for?

Since 2009, so about 11 years

2. What brings you back to haunting year after year?

My love for Halloween and scaring people

3. Where did you start Haunting?

 So long story short I used to be a part of the character program at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ right out of high school thanks to my friend Paul, when Fright Fest came around I auditioned to act and landed a part in one of their trails for Fright Fest.

4. What is your favorite part of a night in the Haunt?

About 10 minutes before we start when I'm all ready and start getting myself pumped up for the night to scare people.

5. What is the worst part of working in a Haunt?

Customers who think they can act like jerks because they think they are tough when they are actually just scared.

6. What is your all-time favorite scare onto a customer?

Jump scares or creeping them out. I am known for my signature trick which is sticking a balloon up my nose and pulling it out of my mouth which grosses a lot of people out and it just makes me so happy!

7. What is your Favorite Haunted Attraction outside of your Haunt?

Reaper's Revenge in Scranton, PA

I went there for the first time a few years ago and absolutely loved everything about it! If you've never been there you must go and make sure you find Candy the clown and tell her Cheeks sent you!

8. What is your favorite Theme in a Haunt Attraction?

I don't really have an exact favorite because I think all haunts have their own signature and they really know how to let it shine through.

9. Do you have further plans with the Haunted Attraction Industry?

My plans are to continue being a part of it but not sure where. I love acting in a trail or hayride but I'm getting to the point where my body won't let me do the things I want it to. I never want to fully leave but maybe something less physical like actor training or helping people come up with their own characters.

10. Where does your inspiration for your Character come from?

I've worn many character hats but my current character was my husband GRiN's idea, when we started dating I knew I would end up being a clown but if you want to know how I got my name then just ask him. Lol

11. What are you most looking forward to in the 2020 Haunt Season?

Seeing how the industry adjusts to the new normal. Will be allowed within 6 ft of of customer? Will we all have to wear masks? I'm not really sure where we go from here.

12. Do you expect Haunt Season 2020 to be vastly different than other seasons?

Absolutely but I'm not sure how, this is a very in your bubble kind of thing and I'm not sure how we do it, and if places open will they have customers.

13. How long does your make up setup take per night?

It's a long process, my makeup takes about 20-30 minutes, my hair depend on the day, sometimes I braid it the night before to get it super crazy and poofy or I just put in my pig tail extensions, then I have to get dressed and depending on the weather depends on how many layers I put on which half normally come off throughout the night because I get so hot running around.

14. How often do you work on your Character?

My character is always changing whether it be adding things to my makeup or costume or learning new tricks. Who knows what I will come up with next but I'm thinking a new look will be happening soon.

15. What do you do for a living outside of haunting?

I work at a spa as a front desk associate and I love it!

Haunt Prop Monday! "Second Thoughts" Presented by THEHORFRORDOME.COM
