MONDAY TRUE HORROR: JOHN WAYNE GACY

Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we continue our True Horror Segment with one mean son of a bitch John Wayne Gacy. This guy makes everyone's skin crawl and makes you want to take a shower. Let us get into one of the most Notorious Evils of this Century.

John Wayne Gacy, (born March 17, 1942, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.—died May 10, 1994, Statesville, Illinois), American serial killer whose murders of 33 boys and young men in the 1970s received international media attention and shocked his suburban Chicago community, where he was known for his sociability and his performance as a clown at charitable events and childrens’ parties.

Gacy was born into a blue-collar family and seems to have had a fairly ordinary childhood. But he exhibited a growing tendency toward sadism, which resulted in several encounters with the law in the 1960s. In 1968, after his conviction for sexually assaulting a teenage boy, he was confined in the Iowa State Men’s Reformatory (Anamosa State Penitentiary) and forced to undergo psychological evaluation. After his release in 1970 and while still on parole, he was again arrested for sexual assault, but the charges were later dropped. Gacy then became a fairly successful independent contractor and bought a house in suburban Chicago.

In 1978, after one of Gacy’s victims, Robert Piest, was reported missing, police learned that Gacy was the last person known to have seen him. After obtaining a search warrant, police discovered the bodies of 29 boys and young men in or near Gacy’s house; four other bodies were found in the nearby Des Plaines River. Indeed, the area of the house had emitted a foul stench for years, but Gacy had told his houseguests and his wife that the smell was the result of moisture buildup. At his trial Gacy’s plea of innocent by reason of insanity was supported by the testimony of several psychologists, who diagnosed him as schizophrenic, but was rejected by the jury, which found him guilty of all 33 murders of which he was accused; he was executed by lethal injection in 1994.

Thank you to Brittanica.com for their great info and bringing so much light quickly to this subject. Now, we like to shine a bright light onto the list of the Families effected by this Criminal.

Timothy McCoy (January 3, 1972)

Gacy told investigators his first murder victim was a teenage boy he picked up outside Chicago’s Greyhound Bus Station in the winter of 1972. Unlike his later victims, who were strangled, Gacy said he stabbed the boy in the chest. He was also the first of his victims to be buried in the crawl space beneath his house. In 1986, dental records identified him as 15-year-old McCoy, who had been traveling for the holidays, and had a bus layover in Chicago.

Unidentified Victim (1974)

Gacy said he next murdered in 1974, and it is assumed his second victim was an unidentified white male, whose body was found buried in his backyard. The victim was between 14 and 18 years of age and it’s estimated he died between 1972 and 1975.

John Butkovitch (July 31, 1975)

Butkovitch, 17, was one of several employees of Gacy’s construction company, PDM Contractors, who fell victim to his boss’ bloodthirsty desires. He went missing after going to Gacy’s to pick up a paycheck, and his remains were later found underneath the concrete floor of his garage.

Darrell Sampson (April 6, 1976)

In March 1976, Gacy’s divorce from his second wife, Carole Hoff, was finalized. With the house all to himself, his murderous impulses were unchecked. Sampson, 18, was the first victim of this two year blood-run. His body was later found buried underneath the dining room of Gacy’s house.

Randall Reffett (May 14, 1976)

Reffett, 15, was last seen walking home from school. His body was later found in Gacy’s crawl space, dead from asphyxiation.

Sam Stapleton (May 14, 1976)

Gacy’s second victim in a single day, Sam Stapleton was just 14 when he disappeared on the way home from his sister’s apartment. He was buried with Randall Reffett in Gacy’s crawl space.

Michael Bonnin (June 3, 1976)

Bonnin, 17, was found buried in the crawl space with the ligature that was used to strangle him still around his neck.

William Carroll (June 13, 1976)

Known to his friends as “Billy,” the 16-year-old was found buried in Gacy’s crawl space.

Unidentified Victim (Summer 1976)

It’s assumed this victim was murdered between June and August 1976 due to his burial location in the crawl space. He was a white male between 23 and 30 years of age, who was missing his top two front teeth and wore a removable denture.

James Haakenson (August 5, 1976)

Long one of Gacy’s unknown victims, 16-year-old “Jimmy” Haakenson was identified in July 2017 thanks to DNA evidence. He had run away from his home in St. Paul, Minnesota, in the summer of 1976, but called them on August 5 of that year to tell them he was in Chicago. It was the last they would ever hear from him.

Rick Johnston (August 6, 1976)

Johnston, 17, was last seen going to a rock concert at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom. Afterwards, he was supposed to call his mother for a ride home, but she never heard from him. His dead body was found in a stack with Haakenson and another unidentified victim.

Unidentified Victim (Summer or fall 1976)

This unknown victim was between 18 to 22 years old and had dental problems at the time of his death.

Unidentified Victim (Summer or fall 1976)

this unidentified white male was between 15 to 24 years old at the time of his death.

Kenneth Parker and Michael Marino (October 25, 1976)

Friends Parker, 16, and Marino, 14, were last seen hanging out together on Chicago’s North Side, and they were reported missing by their parents the following day. They were strangled and buried together and later identified by their dental records. In 2014, Sherry Marino, Michael’s mother, had both bodies exhumed and claims DNA tests show that the remains given to her are not her sons, who she believes is still alive. Meanwhile, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and medical examiner stand by their findings.

William Bundy (October 26, 1976)

Bundy, 19, occasionally worked for PDM Contractors and went missing one night after telling his family he was going to a party. Though his family had always suspected he was one of the victims found in Gacy’s crawl space, his remains weren’t identified until 2011 when his surviving siblings provided DNA samples to police.

Gregory Godzik (December 12, 1976)

Godzick, 17, had only worked for PDM for a short time before he went missing after dropping a girl off from a date. His wallet was found during a search of Gacy’s home, and it was later confirmed that his remains were among those found in the crawl space.

John Szyc (January 20, 1977)

Known as “Johnny” to his friends and family, the 19-year-old was another PDM employee who went missing and whose remains were later found in the crawl space.

Unidentified Victim (Winter 1977)

This unknown white male was between 22 to 33 years of age and was found in possession of a key fob with the name “Greg” on it.

Jon Prestidge (March 15, 1977)

Michigan native Prestidge was visiting friends in Chicago when he had the misfortune of crossing paths with Gacy. The 20-year-old's body was later found in the crawl space.

Unidentified Victim (Spring or summer 1977)

At some point before his death, this unknown white male had his left clavicle broken and was between 17 and 21 years old.

Matthew Bowman (July 5, 1977)

Bowman, 19, was found in Gacy’s crawl space with the rope used to strangle him still wrapped around his neck.

Robert Gilroy (September 15, 1977)

Gilroy, 18, was the son of a sergeant on the Chicago Police Department, who lived four blocks away from Gacy at the time of his disappearance.

John Mowery (September 25, 1977)

Mowery was a 19-year-old US Marine who was studying to become an accountant. According to CBS Chicago, he had gone to Gacy’s house to inquire about work and never returned.

Russell Nelson (October 17, 1977)

A 22-year-old University of Minnesota architecture student, Nelson traveled to Chicago with a friend, and he was last seen at a dance club when he went missing. His remains were later found in the crawl space.

Robert Winch (November 10, 1977)

Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Winch was just 16 years old when he was murdered. His remains were later found in the crawl space.

Tommy Boling (November 18, 1977)

A 20-year-old father of one, Boling was found in Gacy’s crawl space, dead from strangulation.

David Talsma (December 9, 1977)

Like John Mowery, Talsma was a 19-year-old US Marine. He was identified on what would have been his 21st birthday.

William Kindred (February 16, 1978)

Kindred was 19 years old and was the last of Gacy’s victims buried in the crawl space beneath his house.

Timothy O'Rourke (June 1978)

Only 20 years old at the time of his death, O’Rourke was the first of four victims Gacy dumped from a bridge into Illinois’ Des Plains River, after his crawl space had become too crowded with dead bodies.

Frank Landingin (November 4, 1978)

Landingin’s body was discovered in the Des Plaines River. The Washington Post reported a pair of underwear had been stuffed in the 19-year-old's mouth, and investigators determined he had died from strangulation, not drowning.

James Mazzara (November 24, 1978)

Mazzara was 20 years old when he went missing on Thanksgiving Day 1978. He was later found in the Des Plaines River, and evidence found in Gacy’s home tied him to the crime, according to The New York Times.

Robert Piest (December 11, 1978)

Gacy’s final victim was 15-year-old Robert Piest. Prior to his disappearance, he had been seen in the pharmacy where he worked talking to Gacy about a summer job at PDM. Police began investigating Gacy after learning about his history of sexual abuse, leading to the search of his home and the discovery of 29 of his 33 victims. Piest, however, was not among those found. His body was eventually pulled from the Illinois River on April 9, 1979.

Thank you to Oxygen.com for the great list.

True Horror: Richard Ramirez "The Night Stalker"

Welcome back to another episode of HH365! Today we continue our True Horror segment. Today we tackle "The Night Stalker" Richard Ramirez. Netflix put out on hell of a Documentary about Richard Ramirez recently and we recommend you watch it. Do not be surprised if you finish all of the episodes in one sitting as it really grabs you. Let us get to "The Night Stalker" and the lives that he changed.

Richard Ramirez, byname Night Stalker, (born February 29, 1960, El Paso, Texas, U.S.—died June 7, 2013, Greenbrae, California), American serial killer, rapist, and burglar who murdered at least 13 people in California in 1984–85. He was convicted and sentenced to death but died while in prison.

Ramirez grew up in El Paso, Texas, the youngest of five children born to Mexican immigrants. According to reports, when he was 12 years old, a cousin who was a Vietnam War veteran showed him pictures of Vietnamese women he had allegedly raped, tortured, and killed. The following year Ramirez was a witness to his cousin’s fatal shooting of his wife. Around this time, Ramirez began breaking into homes. After dropping out of high school, he moved to Los Angeles. He continued to commit crimes and was briefly imprisoned for stealing a car.

In June 1984 Ramirez committed his first known murder, raping and stabbing a 79-year-old widow. (In 2009 he was implicated in the April 1984 murder of a nine-year-old girl after his DNA was determined to be at the crime scene; however, Ramirez was not charged with the crime.) He then apparently waited some eight months before resuming his killings. Most of the deaths occurred in the Los Angeles area and took place during home invasions. Ramirez’s victims—some of whom survived—were often sexually assaulted and beaten, and Satanic symbols were found at many of the crime scenes. The “Night Stalker,” as the killer became known, created a panic that saw a surge in gun sales. Eventually a fingerprint was discovered that led to Ramirez’s identification. On August 30, 1985—six days after his last known murder—Ramirez’s name and photograph were released to the public, and the following day a man in East Los Angeles saw him and notified police. A chase ensued, and as Ramirez tried to steal a car, he was surrounded by a crowd and beaten until police arrived.

A self-described Satanist, Ramirez made various references to Satan during his legal proceedings; he notably drew a pentagram on his palm. His trial began in early 1989, and in September he was convicted of 13 murders and a variety of other crimes. Nearly two months later he was sentenced to death, with the judge stating that his crimes showed “cruelty, callousness and viciousness beyond any human understanding.” Ramirez never expressed remorse, and, after receiving his sentence, he stated, “Big deal. Death always went with the territory.” He was believed to have committed other murders and rapes but was never charged for any additional crimes. While on death row at San Quentin State Prison, Ramirez was diagnosed with cancer. He died in 2013.

Thank you to Brittanica.com for that look into this Horrible Demon. Let us hear from his Victims by posting their Identity so if one person can remember the name of one victim then it is worth the post. Again, there is no Glorifying here. These are Horrors and Atrocities that need to be remembered for the Hundreds of Thousands of people touched by people like this.

Jennie Vincow – The 79-year-old was killed by Ramirez on 27 June, 1984, when he also burgled her home in Glassell Park LA.

Dale Okazasi – On 17 March, 1985, Ramirez shot and killed 34-year-old Okazasi at her home in Rosemead, California, after also attacking her housemate Maria Hernandez, 20, who survived.

Vincent Zazzara – On 27 March, 1985, Ramirez broke into the home of Vincent Zazzara, 64 and killed him while he slept.

Maxine Zazzara – The 44-year-old was killed as part of the same attack as her husband Vincent Zazzara on 27 March, 1985.

William Doi – Ramirez broke into the home of Doi, 65, in Monterey Park on 14 May 1985 where he fatally shot him.

Mable “Ma” Bell – The 84-year-old died after Ramirez attacked her at her home in Monrovia, California, on 29 June, 1985.

Mary Louise Cannon – The 77-year-old widow was killed at her home in Arcadia, California, on 2 July 1985.

Joyce Lucille Nelson -The 61-year-old was beaten to death on 7 July, 1985, by Ramirez, who also burgled her home in Monterey Park.

Max Kneiding – The 68-year-old was attacked with a machete, shot and killed by Ramirez on 20 July, 1985.

Lela Kneiding – The 66-year-old wife of Max Kneiding was also killed on the same day (20 July, 1985) after Ramirez broke into the couple’s home in Glendale, California, which he also robbed.

Chainarong Khovananth – The 32-year-old was shot and killed while asleep in his home in Sun Valley in 20 July, 1985.

Elyas Abowath – Ramirez shot and killed the 31-year-old on 8 August, 1985 in Diamond Bar, California, during a burglary of the family home.

NEW SEGMENT: HAUNT SPOTLIGHT: FIELD OF SCREAMS!

Welcome back to another new segment of HH365! Haunt Spotlight. We wanted to take sometime during the Off-Season to show our appreciation to all of the Haunted Attractions we can. We figure why not give an overall review of the last five years of us working with Haunts with Reviews and helping to get the word of mouth going further. Our First Stop on The Haunt Spotlight, one of our favorite's, Field of Screams.

Field of Screams is one of the couple Haunts that is on my mind constantly throughout the year. It is our kickoff show as it is one of the earliest to open. Every year we like to pester the Ownership team about this time of year about what is new and what they have for us the upcoming year and I always get the same hysterical generic answer: We are always working on all our Attractions in the offseason, We look forward to seeing you guys! Haha. Year after year, we get that response and we look forward to it.

FOS kicks off their opening weekend with a VIP event that Saturday night were they invite the media in to check out that years show. It is a weekend I look forward to all year once I get into the car to leave.

FOS is easily one of the Best Haunted Attractions Ever. From Movie Quality set ups to some of the most skilled Actors in the business. FOS works hard all year long to present one of the World's best Fall Show. There is very little derogatory things you can speak about this Haunt. Even during a Pandemic, Field of Screams found a way to make distance scaring a thing. We still enjoyed the hell out of our night during that 2020 season.

FOS is a fully immersive experience. Even if Haunt's are not exactly your thing and you are more into family night outs. FOS delivers with food aplenty and games galore. You do not even have to enter a walk through to have fun at FOS. From Escape Rooms, Carnival games and the Atmosphere, Field of Screams delivers everywhere.

When you do face the fear and enter a walk through or the Hayride, get ready to have your head blown. I fell in love with this place at first sight. During the day, with no machines or effects operating. It is the detail. Detail is very important to the team at FOS. And they strive every year to add to it.

We want to thank everyone involved at Field of Screams. The friendships we have built has helped grow this site and we Thank you all so very much. FOS will always hold a special place in my Heart and I will always look forward to that weekend in Mid-September.

Haunt History: Castle Dracula Wildwood NJ

Welcome back to another edition of Halloween Haunts 365.com. Today we go back into the past and dig up a relic of the Jersey Shore and the Haunted Attraction Community. Castle Dracula. We have covered other historic Haunts such as the ill-fated Brigantine Castle and the Horrible past of Six Flags Haunted Castle. Let us continue with another New Jersey staple with a sad ending. The picture was not us and we take zero credit for it even though we wish we could go and shoot it for you.

In my favorite Shore Town Wildwood, NJ stood an epic representation of the past and doors to the future. Castle Dracula or Dracula's Castle as some called it was a walk through dark ride on the Wildwood boardwalk. The Nickles Family built Castle Dracula in 1977. It was a combination of walk through and Dark boat ride. It was built on top of a pre existing old mill ride which was constructed in 1919. This ride became the Dungeon Boat Ride and the top level became Castle Dracula. Although the Castle was two stories tall, only the bottom half was used for the Attraction. The above level was used for storage and maybe one day to expand the Haunt.

Unfortunately, Castle Dracula met its drastic death on January 16th 2002. The Nickles had planned on rebuilding the majestic Castle but from what we can see there were a ton of obstacles in their way with permits and so on. Sadly, Castle Dracula is gone forever.

The cause of the fire was Arson. It was claimed to be an accident as the two charged were Teenagers who broke in to the Attraction and used rags and aerosol cans to try and see around the Attraction. The building went up and the 5 Alarm fire started. It took out the building and part of the boardwalk.

All that stands there now are a bunch of little huts housing Retail and food. Directly across is Mariner's Landing also known as Morey's Pier since they own all three piers now. Another sad tale from New Jersey and Haunted Attractions.

FUN FACTS FRIDAY: HALLOWEEN RESURRECTION

Welcome back to another edition of Halloween Haunts 365.com. Today we take a comical look at a terrible movie but a movie apart of a Franchise so we must do some Fun facts about it! Halloween Resurrection. We can go on and on for years about the problems with this movie so we are just going to hop right into some entertaining facts about it! Lets go!

1.Was first named "Halloween: The Homecoming", but producers wanted a title that said Michael Myers is alive so in February 2002, the film was officially named Halloween: Resurrection (2002).

2. John Carpenter has stated that the movie made him cringe.

3. Several new endings were written during production and the cast was never sure how the film was actually going to end. Four different endings were filmed, and the director wanted the studio to ship a different ending to each theater, a technique used before during the theatrical release of Clue (1985). However, the studio disagreed and the endings now appear on the DVD and Blu-ray.

4. Bianca Kajlich cannot scream and her screams had to be dubbed in post production.

5. Actors Brent Chapman and Kyle Labine, who have small roles in this movie, went on to appear in Freddy vs. Jason (2003). This makes them the only two people to be in a Michael, Jason, and Freddy film.

6. The name of the psychology professor at Haddonfield University is Dr. Mixter. This was also the name of the doctor in Halloween II (1981) that treated Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and was killed by Michael Myers with a needle in the eye.

7.  Sara says that Michael's knife would be in an evidence room locker, in the beginning of Bride of Chucky (1998), Michael's mask is shown in an evidence room locker.

8. Freddie Harris' surname is an homage to Danielle Harris, who played Michael Myers' niece, Jamie Lloyd, in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989).

9. The only one movie to establish Michael Myers' birth date: October 19, 1957.

10. Michael's use of a spiked leg of a tripod as a weapon is an homage to Michael Powell's Peeping Tom (1960).

Well. Thank you to the internet for some interesting facts about what some call a ridiculous Movie. Well, We move onto Rob Zombie's Halloween and I cannot wait!

That is all we have for you today but keep it here to Halloween Haunts 365.com! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

FIELD OF SCREAMS ST. PATTYS DAY EVENT REVIEW

Welcome back to another edition of Halloween Haunts 365.com. Today we add an offseason review of Field of Scream's St Patty's Day event! This event was a lot bigger then we expected and we had more fun then we expected.

They had all of the games open, the Escape Rooms open and the food truck was in full force.

For the Attractions, Den of Darkness and Frightmare Asylum were open and very ready to scare! We started in Frightmare Asylum.
From the time we entered this Attraction, we knew it was going to be an Amazing night! From the first room, with the green lights hanging and the Dropkick Murphys blasting in your ears surrounded by Actors that we have ever seen in that Attraction, we got very excited. The best detail about Field of Screams is that they are one of the Haunt teams that constantly work on every Attraction. Frightmare was no different. I think we may have found the best new room in an Attraction. We do not go into details here, but after a right hand turn, get ready to have full sensory overload. That is your only hint. Let us get to the scoring of Frightmare Asylum under the Leprechauns rule!
Overall:
Next up for the evening, Den of Darkness. This is usually my favorite maze at FOS, but with that new room in Frightmare, That pretty much switched the gears in my brain to make Frightmare my favorite, but, we will see come full season action. Den of Darkness was packed full of amazing Actors and Actresses through out the bows of this beast.
Again, The Flogging Mollys and Dropkick Murphys in your ear. Scares in your eyes really made for quite and interesting and wonderful experience. We will always come back for this event because it just felt amazing with all of that going on. Let us get to the scoring of Den of Darkness during the Green overload.
Overall:
That is our rundown of the St Pattys Day Event at Field of Screams. A big shout out to the Music Director and the Haunt staff that really made it come together beautifully. Also, we never want to leave out the gifted Actors and Team that bring the pain every time there is a show! Thank you for all that you do!

MOVIE REVIEWS RETURN: CAM

Welcome back to Halloween Haunts 365.com Today we will bring back our Movie Review Segments since we have a lot of Horror on its way as we get back to normal. I will confess. I highly doubt I will be able to match what our great friend was able to do about a year ago. Her reviews were detailed and full of facts and she will be missed. But! The show will go on! Today, We will take a look at a pretty interesting film "CAM".

Cam was released by Netflix on November 16th 2018. Directed by Daniel Goldhaber and Written by Isa Mazzei from a story by Goldhaber, Mazzei and Isabelle Link-Levy. The story is partially drawn from Writer Maazei's experience of working as a Cam-Girl. It is interesting to note that the Horror Magnate in recent years, Blumhouse has a finger or two in the production process.

Cam is a story about a young woman named Alice Ackerman who works as a Cam-Girl on a fictional website that ranks all the Women against each other. Alice aka @Lola_Lola is on a mission to break into the top 50 as the film opens. There is no end in sight for what Alice will do to achieve the Top 50 and more all while keeping it a secret from her Mother. From fake suicides to riding am extreme vibrator fully nude that is controlled by the chat in the website, Alice will stop at nothing to become the Top Girl. The day after her biggest show, she notices that her site has been taken over by someone that looks exactly like her. Even her most loyal fans do not notice that it is not the real Lola_Lola. At the same time Alice is fully locked out of her account and basically erased from the website. That is when the mystery begins and to find out more you must watch the movie. No Spoilers at HH365!

I will be doing "No Holds Barred" Reviews. You may not agree with me on most things and that is great! Feel free to reach out to us to let us know what you think. All of our Contact info is just to the right of this text! Let us get to our thoughts on Cam.

The cast we really enjoyed. Madeline Brewer played Lola/Alice and did a phenomenal job. She kept me tuned in and really put on a show with the range she has. From a spoiled brat to a warrior. The change she makes on screen kept me watching even though I hated how the movie ended and what really happened. I was really hoping for more sinister ending but we did not receive. She made the film watchable and entertaining.

The writing was also great again up into the end. In the world of Twitch and Onlyfans, this risk is always there and can really happen. But with this movie listed as a Horror, I wanted some Horror. Maybe a shapeshifter, I don't know. Something!

With the good story and great performance, I really wish this movie did not fall on its self with the weird outcome. Even with the Gory ending, It still fell flat in our head. But! I still consider it worth the time to watch! May even watch it again to see if I missed anything that could have added to it. Let us get to the scoring.

Our Overall Ranking. The Actress saved it and made it rewatchable. One Hell of a Casting!
That is our Movie Review of Netflix's Cam. Watch it for yourself and see if you ended up where we did!

NEW SEGMENT: TRUE HORROR "VIEWER BE AWARE-MATURE CONTENT"

Welcome back to another edition of HH365! Today we begin our new feature, True Horror. We understand that Horror exists in a form out side of Movies, Books, Haunts and Music. Some Horror hits home and changes peoples lives forever. We find it important for the families of victims to speak about the Atrocities some of the most Evil people in America have done. These families and their stories should never be forgotten. I am against the glorification of these pieces of trash. This is more about another angle of Horror and to remember the lost. Not all Horror is good Horror and this segment will show that. We will be covering some of the most well known and some unknown Evil personalities that have walked the earth and changed peoples lives forever. We will also cover True Hauntings and possible Frauds in the Horror and Haunting communities. Let us get to today's topic.

Today, with the help of the Internet, We will take a shallow dive into Ted Bundy. The Charismatic Killer.

Ted Bundy, in full Theodore Robert Bundy, (born November 24, 1946, Burlington, Vermont, U.S.—died January 24, 1989, Starke, Florida), American serial killer and rapist, one of the most notorious criminals of the late 20th century.

Bundy had a difficult childhood; he had a strained relationship with his stepfather, and his shyness made him a frequent target of bullying. Later, however, his intelligence and social skills enabled him to enjoy a successful college career, and he developed a series of apparently normal emotional relationships with women. Despite this apparent stability, he sexually assaulted and killed several young women in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and Florida between 1974 and 1978. Although he would ultimately confess to 28 murders, some estimated that he was responsible for hundreds of deaths. Following a well-publicized trial, he was sentenced to death in 1979 for the murder of two college students. In the following year he again was sentenced to death, this time for the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl. Bundy was executed in Florida’s electric chair in 1989.

Despite the appalling nature of his crimes, Bundy became something of a celebrity, particularly following his escape from custody in Colorado in 1977. During his trial his charm and intelligence drew significant public attention. His case inspired a series of popular novels and films devoted to serial murder. It also galvanized feminist criminologists, who contended that the popular media had transformed Bundy into a romantic figure.

The above was from Brittanica.com.

Here is a list of the Victims of Ted Bundy. May they always be remembered and become a tale of warning.

HHN ANNOUNCEMENT: BEETLEJUICE

Welcome back to another edition of HH365.com. I am sure you can see the beautiful picture above that we do not own is that HHN has started their 2021 Announcements. Beetlejuice is the first among many to drop over the next couple months.

It is always a great day when you get that first HHN email of the season with their first big announcement. Even if you are not partaking in HHN, that email starts what we consider the Spring Training of Haunt season. Announcements start dropping from HHN and all of the local Haunts, we start reaching out to owners with our excitement through the roof to find out what is coming this year.

Let us get into Beetlejuice. This walk through will be modeled after the insane vision that Tim Burton had in this 1988 Creepy Comedy. Michael Keaton headlined this fun film with Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and young Winona Ryder among others that made this Casting job incredible and made the movie the Cult Classic it is today.

I am not going to rave over Beetlejuice as it really is not one of my favorite movies. I found it fun to watch but I can see how this can turn into a very fun Maze at HHN 30. This Film was full of Burton's wacked out visuals. This could really turn into an effective environment in a HHN walk through. I am excited to see what Beetlejuice brings to the history of HHN.

FUN FACTS FRIDAY: HALLOWEEN H20

Welcome back to Halloween Haunts 365.com! Today we continue the fan favorite Fun Facts Friday. If you look back on our page you can see we left off on Halloween: The Revenge of Michael Myers. So today we continue as you can see with the borrowed picture above. All rights reserved. We do not own the photo. That we will continue the Halloween Franchise with H20.

I really enjoyed this movie. It is close to the top of my favorite of the Franchise. Let us get to ten Fun Facts some may know but most will not about Halloween H20 Twenty Years Later.

1. During the scene where Norma is leaving, she stands in front of the car from Psycho (1960). The music playing in the background at this part is also from Psycho. Janet Leigh, who plays Norma, played Marion in Psycho. The license plate on the car is also the same as the second car Marion buys in Psycho, NFB 418, which are Norman Bates' initials.

2. After 20 years, Jamie Lee Curtis said that seeing Michael Myers on set still scared her.

3. LL Cool J had always been a fan of the Halloween movies. His mother took him to see the original when he was just nine years old.

4. During the credits in the prologue, Dr. Samuel J. Loomis' dialogue from the first film about Michael's incarceration is heard. The studio was unable to retrieve the unmixed audio from the original scene to reuse and were forced to tap voice actor Tom Kane to imitate Donald Pleasence, who played Dr. Loomis in the first six films.

5. P.J. Soles was originally approached for the role of Keri Tate's/Laurie Strode's secretary. Soles never gave a straight answer as to what she wanted to do, skeptical about returning to the series as someone completely different than her character Lynda, originally killed off in Halloween (1978). She eventually lost the role to Jamie Lee Curtis's mother, Janet Leigh, who was approached after not getting an answer from Soles.

6. In the original Halloween (1978), Laurie answers a question about fate after seeing Michael outside the high school. In Halloween H20, Laurie asks Molly a question about the novel Frankenstein, which she answers by discussing the fate of Dr. Frankenstein. Once she finishes, she sees Michael standing in a doorway outside of the school.

7. Jamie Lee Curtis has played Laurie Strode in films released in five different decades from the 1970s to the 2010s: Halloween (1978), Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998), Halloween: Resurrection (2002) and Halloween (2018).

8. According to Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) writer Daniel Farrands, who wrote an early draft of the film, there was originally a scene scripted and supposedly filmed where a student in Laurie's class does a report on a book called "The Halloween Murders", in an effort to tie all the movies together. This was dropped however, when it was decided by the director and producers to ignore "H4-6" so as to concentrate more on the Laurie Strode aspect of the story.

9. In one draft of the script, Charlie was intended to be the killer, acting as Michael Myers copycat killer.

10. Molly and Sarah are shown watching Scream 2 (1997) when Will the guidance counselor checks in on them, a subtle nod to Scream (1996) when all the teens at the party watch the original Halloween (1978).

Well, there are ten Fun Facts we found about Halloween H20. That is all we have for you today at HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!

HAUNTED ATTRACTIONS IN A CANCEL CULTURE

Welcome back to another episode of HH365! Today, we must talk about something going on in our very odd society, The "Cancel Culture".

It really is the time for people to be offended over anything and everything. Some are important steps for growth but when we start talking about pieces of plastic being cancelled over gender is really where I like to draw a line. Anyway, I do not like to get political ever, but with Haunted Attractions, I believe it is only a matter of time until this Culture fires shots at our beloved Halloween Activities.

With all the focus on what bothers people just makes me look at a Haunt. Some people are bothered by the violent images and acts at a Haunt. How much longer do we have? Will we stay safe from this new way of thought?  You can see it in Horror movies in the last five to ten years. Sure, we have some good ones but the old "Slasher Gorefests" has been thrown to the wayside. I enjoy the "Smart Horror" but I think its safe to say that Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers as we knew them may be over.

This is not an article to complain about it but changes may be coming our way and I will be interested to see what is in store for our favorite Haunted Attractions in the coming years. I really hope that the Haunts can keep the creative license that they have now.

This is really a wait and see type of deal. I know 2020 was full of Haunt complaining because of the restrictions. Because you know, The whole world is dealing with a Pandemic but people had to wait an extra hour to get into a Haunt. This year from a fan aspect was the worst I have ever seen. The all out attack on most Haunted Attractions through polls, social media and so on was incredibly horrible and not needed. It was almost as if everyone took their suffering of being caged up for months out on all of the Haunts. It was nuts and I really hope that 2021 is a brand new year.

HAUNT NEWS: BRIGHTON ASYLUM ST PATRICKS SLAY!

Welcome back to another edition of HH365! As you can see from the borrowed picture above from our friends at Brighton Asylum. They are holding an off season event St. Patrick's Slay.

We love these off season event and just like Field of Screams we will have to miss this one but that does not mean you have to. This place was highly diligent in the ways of Covid and 2020. This will be a safe and fun night out to celebrate that crazy Irish holiday.

Brighton Asylum will also have their Escape Rooms open along with their Hack Shack. Brighton Asylum's version of Ax Throwing. It is always a great night out at Brighton Asylum. They moves they made in 2020 has really turned it into an all night event. Stop reading for a couple seconds and buy tickets for the night here St. Patrick's Slay

Ticket booth opens 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

General Admission is $30.00. You can add a fast pass for an extra $20.00. Some people may say that is steep but we believe that $30.00 is a steal for one of the best walk throughs in the nation so I would highly recommend getting the fast pass. It is worth the VIP treatment.

HAUNT NEWS..FIELD OF SCREAMS OPEN FOR ST PATTYS DAY FEAR!

Welcome back to HH365! Today we wanted to let everyone know by the borrowed picture above from our friends at Field of Screams that Field of Screams will be open for an Off Season event that we will sadly miss on Saturday, March 13th.

If you have been to our site or Field of Screams. You understand the magic that this group puts on display year after year. 2020 was of course different but Field of Screams did an amazing job or social distancing and mask wearing. All security personnel, hell even one of the owners were on task and stopping anyone the second they saw not complying with their safety standards. We did not make it to many Haunts in 2020 but I can generally say I felt the safest at Field of Screams and Brighton Asylum. For me its trust, and both of these fine shows have that trust from me.

So Saturday March 13th. The parking lot open at about 5:30pm. The Onsite ticket booth opens at 6:00pm but we highly recommend buying your tickets online. Its easier and this show can and will sell out. You must be on the property by 9:00pm to ensure you get to see the show.

Den of Darkness and Frightmare Asylum will be open and we are sure full of the Irish lore.

Tickets are $30.00 and a fast pass is available for just $15.00 more. We always recommend the fast pass because this place can get busy with the blink of an eye.

Come out and show your support to one of the finest Haunts in the country in a safe and monitored Environment. It is time to get out of the house and off the couch. We will be in Attendance as well. .

Buy your tickets here Field of Screams Tickets.

Make sure you buy your tickets now and enjoy the show! That is all we have for you at Halloween Haunts 365.com! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season.

WE ARE BACK!

Welcome back to another episode of Halloween Haunts 365.com. Today we are making our grand come back in a big way.

We have some pretty big news coming your way and a ton of ideas in the old brain to really make the website pop and become a staple every Haunt Season and throughout the year!

As you can tell from the dates of our last posts. We needed to take a little Hiatus from the Haunt and Horror world. We had to plan and finish a Wedding, Kids, And a ton of work travel after the furlough from the Pandemic. Life hits everyone and HH365 is no different. I did not wnt to come back until we had some new exciting things to share but now we are ready.

We will be adding some new True Horror to the site. From Serial Killers to Real Haunting and Ghost Hunting. Like we always said. If it is Creepy, it has a home at HH365! We will be bringing back Fun Facts Friday as we found it fun to do and everyone found it fun to read. We will finish off where we started with the Halloween Series. The next Fun Fact Friday will be Halloween H20. We will also have a return of Movie Reviews.

A few new article topics coming are Haunt Spotlights where we will break down some of our favorite Haunted Attractions and give them the glory they deserve. We will continue with the Haunt news but also add in some Horror news. There are a lot of movies releasing soon and we want to be in the mix.

That is really the small potatoes of what you are in store for at HH365 moving forward. We have more news awaiting but those are still in development. It may be a wait, but a wait worth it.

That is all we have for you today at HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!
