NEW PREVIEW AND INTERVIEW CONFIRMED!

Halloween Haunt 365 is proud to present Bloodshed Farms in Columbus, NJ. On Sunday August 7th, Halloween Haunts 365 will be on location with Bloodshed Farms.

First off our team needs to thank Bloodshed Farms. We greatly appreciate having us out to Review and Interview this Haunt Location. The Owner and Operator is taking time out of his day spend some time with the team to see whats new and what to expect at BSF.

This will actually be the first visit for any of the member of Halloweenhaunts365. So we are going into this eyes wide open. Looking to see what attractions this place has in store. The team is looking forward to covering this for our fans and the Haunt. This site is not just for the fans, but also the haunts themselves. We know the long hard hours needed to pull off these massive shows every night.

This is for the New fans not sure where to head, For the experienced fan to see what has changed and where to head. And for the Haunts. Yes you may realize that this is not USA Today or the Press of whatever town. We have more then 20 years of experience in our team together of Haunted Walk Through and Attractions. So, where as the press can go to a Haunt and write their article. Great. But what do they know about these attractions? Its not like they have a Haunt writer that they just pull out of the mailroom. These are Interviews, Previews and Reviews from years of experience in this field.
4 Members that have been to more haunts then the average reporter.  This team knows how the attractions work, What it takes to build that 30 foot tall crazy monster in a hayride with 50 Air pistons and crazy technical control boards that have to time everything correctly. The tack welding needed to make that creature safe and sturdy. This team knows. And this team cares so much for the work of these amazing teams at these Haunts.

Now keep your self posted to Halloweenhaunts365.com  We are talking Daily to every haunt that wants us out there. And continuing to give Educated Deep Looks into these Wonderful Attractions. For anyone interested in having us out. From Huge Locations to Home Haunts  Feel free to reach us at Halloweenhaunts365@gmail.com

Again  Thank you all!!!!!

FIELD OF SCREAMS PREVIEW!!!!!

On Thursday, This team got a sneak peek into the Lancaster, PA Haunt Field Of Screams.

When we first came up with the idea of this Haunt review blog, We really did not know what would happen. There was a lot of questions and a lot to learn. Would we get any responses? Would anyone even read it? Would anyone find it?  Well thanks to all of you, It is really taking off guns a blazing.
From the Twitter followers to the Instagram blowing up early to all the Area Haunts reaching out to us. It really is Dizzying with all of it taking off. So we want to Thank every single one of the twitter followers, The Facebook followers, The readers and all the Area Haunts that made it happen for us so far.

Back to Field of Screams. Thank you so much for the Walk through.

Walking Through the heat of July, We got to witness a great deal of planning, hardwork and dedication. We were in awe the entire time. Just seeing how everything worked, how everything was put together and how they planned attractions was amazing.

Our first step was walking through the carnival games. Each game designed around the Haunt. From a severed head basketball game to ring toss to the classic bottle breaking game. Be sure to play these games. A lot of fun to be had here and not a lot of Haunts have games to entertain. Plus you can win Great Field of Screams Swag! and prices were great! Fun for the whole family when done the walk through or taking a break from the fright!

Next. Jim was so kind to turn on the power to Frightmare Asylum and give us a tour. Now even empty and being worked on still scared the crap out of our Vice President. TWICE! This just shows the power of imagination at Field of Screams. With really none of the props active and no actors, she still jumped out of her shoes. Every room had a different feel that really put your mind in an asylum. Every room had a different Theme, Feel, hell even scent. We saw a lot of original roomscapes we have never seen in haunts before. A Very unique walkthru that all of you have to go see come mid September.   Heres an Early view of Frightmare Asylum. As you can see FOS is working hard everyday getting ready to entertain us. So make sure you make it up there this year!

Now tell me your not excited for this Haunt? Nope....Go!

Then our next adventure was walking the Haunted Hayride. WOW! We can not wait to see everything firing away on this attraction. When sitting on this Hayride be prepared to scream! This hayride offered so many original details that this team has not seen yet. And the imagination and engineering to make all of it work in 30-60 second windows is impressive! There is something for every level of fear on this ride. From the experienced to the rookies. You will be amazed when you walk off the trailer. Still not believing what you just witnessed. After seeing this setup. This is the attraction at FOS that all of the team at HalloweenHaunts365 is looking forward to seeing.

Again thank you to FOS and Jim Schopf for the Interview, Visit and Tour. We still have not stopped talking about it. We cannot wait until September for the season to really start.

Our recommendations for FOS? It would be stupid to leave this one out of your Halloween Season. Go have an affordable new experience and get out there. Get Scared and Sink some severed heads into the hoop! We guarantee you will not be disappointed at Field of Screams!

Interview With Field of Screams owner and operator Jim Schopf.

We at Halloween Haunts 365 can not begin to explain how amazing today was for our group. We must start this by giving a HUGE THANK YOU!!!! to Field Of Screams and Jim Schopf for their amazing hospitality today. We can not thank him enough for everything we learned in today's visit.

Today, Field of Screams gave us a behind the scenes tour of their shop, office and Haunt. As we walked into the shop it was like entering what I have only dreamed about. Molds to make horror props everywhere. Different weapon molds, masks everywhere, New projects taking form that you wont see on this site! You will just have to go and support this Haunt and all the long hard hours they put into it. Then From there we went down into the Conference Room.

In the conference room, we asked Jim a series of questions. As it was hard to pay attention 100% sitting at the Coolest table these eyes have ever seen! It was spectacular. We sat with Jim for probably close to an hour as we prodded him with questions. Below you can see what was asked and what we got. But remember, No Spoilers Here..

Question #1 How many attractions will be open for the 2016 Season?

A: 4, Which are Haunted Hayride, Den of Darkness, Frightmare Asylum and Nocturnal Wasteland.

Q#2. How long does it take to set up the Haunt.

A: All year. As soon as the season ends, Jim and his team start right back in on what they want to improve or change. Design starts right away since some projects may take that long to finish.

Q#3. How often do you change the attractions?

A: Every year the team tries to add to what they have. Build up rooms in a walk thru or hayride. Add Costume Ideas and add what they think they missed last year. Continue the evolution of the haunt every year.

Q#4. How many visitors does FOS expect to visit this season?

A: The goal for FOS is 80,000 visitors. So as soon as September hits, GET UP THERE. You will not be disappointed. Really an easy drive from anywhere. So Just Go!

Q#5. How many people does it take to make the Haunt successful?

A:When open, FOS has around 200 people working hard to entertain the masses per night. Not to Mention the people he has working around the clock now and every year to prepare.

Q#6. Who Comes up with the new design ideas?

A: Everywhere. Full collaboration with his whole team. Everyone always comes up with an idea to improve and evolve the haunt. From actors or builders coming up with ideas to add and improve the scare level of each attraction. The staff is really bought in on how it can grow, then the Schopf brothers figure out if the idea is worth the extra work, if it will bring the extra scare factor or if there is room to make it happen.

Q#7. How did the Haunt Start?

A: 24 years ago, The Shopf brothers decided to mow down a trail through corn on their families farm. Ride people on a tractor through the trail and set up little scenes here and there. Then from that, year after year the attractions grew bigger and bigger. 24 years later Field Of Screams is a dominate force in the Haunt World.

Q#8. What was the hardest attraction to create?

A: All of them, Each one has its own creative limitations due to space and what the building actually was which was a barn. But Nocturnal Wasteland took the cake. Smaller area to work with. Borders with the hayride so they had to come up with unique ways to keep them separate. The terrain was tough due to the fact the attraction is a woods walkthru. Its harder to control the scares outside then inside. So Nocturnal Wasteland had the most unique set of challenges.

Q#9. How does FOS find their actors?

A. The actors find them. A lot of it is referral based. Actors telling friends or family and the word spreading from there. Also advertised on the awesome web page. They get actors from all over and take really good care of them. They form one big family. Stay in touch even in the offseason. So if your interested in acting for FOS, minimize this screen and go apply now...Ill wait.....

Q#10. What is the biggest obstacle during the day to day operations?

A. Keeping the pace correct. Getting the right amount of people through the haunt at a good pace. No back logs. Keeping the pace so all haunt fans can see everything in a timely matter. FOS cares about the people waiting and does a ton of things to keep them entertained. From movie screens to bands to rap battles. Even in line waiting you will still have a great time at Field Of Screams.

Q#11. Where do all of the Effect or Decorations come from?

A. FOS creates most of their own effects and displays. Seeing the shop, this team creates high quality imagery and displays. From giant Jack O Lantern Monsters to basic rats. Most of it is done in house. For me, thats amazing. That shows that Jim and his team really love what they do to process and build everything from the ground up them selves.

Q#12. What is Jim Schopf's Favorite Attraction at FOS?

A. Well folks, we will play a twitter poll for this one. Before we tell you the hidden facts we will make a twitter poll and see what the people have to say and guess. So feel free to follow us on twitter as well to take part in the mystery.......I know what it is....HA!.......

Q#13. What is your favorite part about owning and operating Field of Screams?

A. After spending all year fixing, rebuilding, growing. After all the hard work is done. Get ready for the giant blowout party! Once everything is up and moving. Jim's favorite part is watching the customers reaction. Watch the fruit of every ones labor scare the shit out of people. Watching what works and what may be a miss. Watching people run from the exits. Watching people entertained and having a great time.

Well everyone, this was our time with the owners and operators at Field Of Screams. Great guy and great place. Everyone needs to make it to Field of Screams this year. We will have a very limited preview tomorrow because we do not give up anything on this site except what to expect.

Jim took us through a ton of things and we will cover that tomorrow. So be sure to order tickets as soon as you can. If its far from you? Stay the night. Red carpet inn up that way starts at 59 a night so you are out of excuses. Just go!

Make sure you follow Halloween Haunts 365 and Field of Screams on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and anything else you can follow us on. Go do that now too......Go........Did you go?

Thank you everyone, Talk to you all soon!

Ghost Ship Review. First Review Of The Season

Today we will recap Ghost Ship. A Haunted Attraction in Wildwood, NJ. This attraction was built on the middle pier of Moreys Piers Amusement Park. We love going in because where else can you enter a Haunt in the middle of July!

Ghost Ship is modeled after something that does happen once every so often. Ghost Ship is a term for a ship that is discovered to be just drifting along in a sea where the entire crew has disappeared. History shows this has happened in the past. Or Ghost Ship could mean that other ships have seen a "Specter Ship". A ghost that has taken a ship form. So both are equally spine chilling and creepy.

Well lets get to the Haunt.

When you walk into the Ship shaped Haunt Attraction. You enter a room where there is a video playing explaining the premise behind what happened on this ship. Then the door slams open and you begin your journey.

Design: We really enjoyed the atmosphere as the design, lighting and originality really matched the top dogs in the Haunt World. For what is basically a ride in an amusement park they spared no expense when it came to every room. Every room is designed like different rooms of a ship where something bad has happened. One room is a Control Room another is the Infirmary and so on. Great work went into the lighting in this haunt. Every room was lit the way you would picture that subject matter for whatever room you go into. Makeup of the actors was another plus. Great detail to a ship crew. And no two makeups were the same. Which was surprising since this is open for close to 5 months.

Fright Factor: We rated this as a 6 out of 10. Dealing with bigger haunts we are probably desensitized to smaller attractions. If you look at the photo below you can see people more then happy to escape the ghost ship.

Really do not want to pick apart this Haunt since really it is only a ride on the Amazing Wildwood boardwalk. But our opinion was that it needed more actors. Sometimes you are walking for a while with nothing. Plus you could usually tell when someone was going to jump or see them prior. Kinda killed the startle effect.

All in all we enjoyed the Haunt. Little pricey for a ride but still cheaper then any of the Haunts. Plus when your fiending for a Haunt in the middle of the summer, This will be the only place to go. So for Halloweenhaunts365, We recommend checking this out.

Stay tuned for our Preview of Field of Screams coming next week! We hope that you all tune in for that to see whats new!  See you soon!

Gearing up for the season!

Hi guys, Got pretty cool news from the world of Halloween Haunts 365! Our team has signed on to review a couple haunts already this season! Big thank you to Terror behind the Walls at Eastern State and Field Of Screams. So already into this young season we have major attractions to look forward to digging deep.

Right now there is a lot of people hard at working hammering this home these hot months. In the Next couple weeks I will head up to Lancaster, PA to meet with the owner of Field of Screams!
Looking forward to sitting down with the owner and discussing what really takes place this time of year and what effort goes into everything. Like when do designs get started? I really have a ton of questions to ask him. Going through these haunts for so many years, the questions have really piled up. Yet when it is time for the pencil to hit the paper or fingers to the keyboard we go blank!

For work, I have done thousands of interviews. But for some reason these have me nervous! Maybe because I have always wondered what it takes to make these places so special. What it takes to continue growing year after year.

When most people enter a Haunt, They look out for being scared around corners. When I enter a haunt, for me its all the details. Every scene. We really take everything in and walk slowly around the attraction. Maybe its because I live out every horror movie I have ever seen? Every room, We take in the lighting, The effects, The actors, The idea behind the scene. From little gags strategically placed to giant 40ft animatronics. My Favorite is when a haunt changes the theme every room you enter. Whether it be a Giant long snaking path with different stuff at every spot. Or a room set up like a normal house and every room is different. Or who does not like a great crazy hayride with chainsaws?

With the upcoming previews of some haunts, I wanted to take some time to let the Haunts and Haunt lovers know that HalloweenHaunts365 will not give out secrets or what is seen inside the haunts. We will flood this blog, twitter and instagram with photos and videos of people coming out. People having fun. And really what to expect when you reach the haunts. Our main principle for this blog is to get more people coming out every year to this Haunts. Months and Months of labor go into these for the owners or just people that work there. That work deserves to be flaunted! So this blog has taken on the job to inform new and existing customers of whats coming, whats new, and what kind of fun they will have this season at their favorite haunt.

So far, A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to
and

We also will cover smaller Haunts. Like Yard or Garage Haunts. So if you have any kind of Haunt or Yard Set Up, HalloweenHaunts365 will be more then happy to come out and cover it. We already have one signed on. So when that gets going you will be able to read about it here and find the hidden gems. Halloween is all about fun. Our job is to guide you to that fun. We will work tirelessly to do so.

So For Now! Thank you and stay tuned...For there is much more to come!

Ghost Film Debate.....Who will win?

Tonight we will break down what I think three of the top "haunt" movies. These three movies do an outstanding job making you not want to be home alone. With what seems as every cable station has its own Ghost Hunting show, Ghost are still pretty hot in the minds of people. Really have always been since man has walked the earth and learned how to write.

Everyone has their own belief system on if ghost truly exist. This will be an endless debate. There will never be any full scientific proof of the existence of Ghosts. Its a very interesting concept when you think of a poltergeist. Even deeper concept of the different belief of everyone you meet. You can pretty much ask 20 people and 10 will believe while the other ten will look at you like you just stole their cat. This actually gives me a great idea for a twitter poll later....I wonder what the results will be.

The most I can add to the equation is that things that cannot be explained happen all the time. I have witnessed things that have not made physical or scientific sense. I think most of us have. So the question will always remain in my mind. It is always something interesting to talk about and research. Especially this close to Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and Delaware. Even the Government designates places as haunted. So really, Makes you think......

Anyway, Back to the Ghost movies will be debating tonight.

Poltergeist. A Spielberg masterpiece. Very few people designate this a Spielberg because it was not one of these giant blockbusters that he is known for. This movie blew my mind when i first got to see it. The normal neighborhood, the basic family and the basic house. I really enjoyed every step of this film. With the parents being what I have always noted as normal. You can feel that they are not well off, that they have to work for what they have. Part of what made this movie great is how real the family felt. It felt like this could happen to anyone. Really enjoyed how this movie starts out slow and then went full speed ahead with at the time groundbreaking effects. A MUST SEE for any horror and just movie buff. This film is historic. Even has a curse that we will not got into today. Now, onto another great film that I missed out on til I was a bit older. Having started my Horror career at around 4 years old. Did not end up seeing the next film until I was about 19-20 I believe. Man did I miss out.

The Amityville Horror. What a Gem of a Film. A Story of how great deals are sometimes better left on the table. Based on the Story of George and Kathleen Lutz. Many people still do not believe what the Lutz couple say happened. Me, I do. Why? Very good question. I am usually very very skeptical of these things, I never believe anything but I do believe the Lutz Family. Here is why. Lets look at the facts...

Ronald Defeo Jr did indeed kill his entire family in this house. Defeo and his family complained of something not right with Ron Defeo the second they moved to this house. And this all came down toa boiling point. Now, Defeo shot his entire family with a .35 Caliber Rifle. With the first shots ringing through this house could not be quiet. But yet the entire family was killed while still in bed? Thats the oddest thing in my mind and why I believe the Lutz. 6 murders, 6, 6 people stayed in bed after hearing a total of 10 shots fired? Coroners even noted that his mother and little sister were awake at the time. But still stayed in bed? Nope, Growing up in Atlantic City, when shots were fired even blocks away, you jumped out of bed. There is no way and entire family stays in their bed shot after shot. That to me proves that something more was to be seen. Not saying the devil made him do it, but something extraordinary had to have happen for this poor family not attempt to flee, or even hide?
Dont believe much, but I believe there is something strange in 112 Ocean Avenue.

The film is an instant classic that spawned a lot of decent sequels. It is a hard decision for me to choose a favorite, Will be interesting to see what twitter says for the poll. Now this next movie I am a huge fan of the Originality. One where the sequel in my eyes was better then the first. Even how much the movies tied together....

Insidious. WOW. I watched this movie over again as soon as it was over. Released in 2010. Insidious ended a huge horrible horror movie theme. Personally, I cant deal with movies like The Ring, or the Grudge. They are terrible. Nothing in these Japanese remakes are a bit scary. How is a little girl in a well terrifying? Not here. Not this Blog. Those movies were such a joke that I almost missed this film. Insidious adds a brand new look into haunting. Simply an amazing outlook on the otherside. Dont want to spoil this movie. Just go See 1 and 2 right now. Call out of work, I dont care. These two movies are a must see for the Horror Genre.

Now its up to Twitter to see who wins. This time I cannot pick a winner, will be an interesting debate.
Also, 2 Confirmed Interviews for local haunts, Keep coming back as we come closer and closer to the Haunting Season! A TON MORE TO COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rob Zombie Day!

Today we will dive into the world of Rob Zombie. Will never forget the first time i sat down to watch House of 1000 corpses. After meeting Captain Spaulding, i knew Rob Zombie would be a force to be reckoned with. Just the grit of the film, The awesome characters, I was hooked for everything this man would release. For a little while there...Horror Was Saved!

Man, this cover does not give this film justice. House of 1000 Corpses follows a Cult family who are completely and brutally insane. Pretty sure anyone following the blog may know this but never know! Anyways, Rob Zombies videos were always nuts and all over the place. When I heard he was jumping into the Horror genre, excitement went through the roof. Every fear level is tested in this imaginative classic. Gore, Psych, Murder, Anarchism. All of it covered under the roof of The House of 1000 Corpses.

Kind of a sequel to House of 1000 Corpses was The Devils Rejects. This movie ties more info about this Crazy family. A solid movie on its own. Hence the use of kind of a sequel. With all of the Zombie films so far, Very solid acting. Usually a huge miss in this kind of movie. But Zombie knocked this one out of the park as well. This one starts off firing at all cylinders, and really never slows. One gut wrenching moment after the next in great Zombie style! A must see, cannot call your self a horror fan unless you watched both of these.

The Lords of Salem. Alot of people really did not enjoy this film and I think they are crazy! Lords of Salem was a unique film with a brand new premise I have never seen. Brings the horrifying events of Salem, Massachusetts to real time. With another stellar performance by Sheri Moon Zombie this was an instant cult classic in my eyes. Fans of horror will enjoy the psychological toll this movie takes you on. Great idea for a film, finally something very original.

Well thats it for Rob Zombie Day! Zombie also opens a Haunt in California that we will get to one year. I am sure it is pure insanity. Wish other Filmmakers would get into the Haunt Business.

By the way, By my Count of middle of September, We only have 9 Weeks left until these amazing Haunts start to open. Stay Tuned on upcoming information! Plus check out my reviews in the past blogs!   talk to you all soon!

DEBATE TIME!!!!

With a new Halloween movie coming thanks to John Carpenter being completely done with the crap horror movies they release now. There is always the TOP 3 debate.

Nightmare on Elm Street will always be my favorite. Just the story, A nightmare you cant escape. You can easily run from Myers and Jason. But your not escaping dreams. Are they the scariest movies? Not at all. Quite funny actually thanks to the great job Robert England did in all the original films. On the fence with the remake.

Just the idea alone has made this my favorite series in the genre.

Friday the 13th is always a great time. With the highest body count in the collection, Jason Voorhees took urban legends to a new place. Every town has a mythical story of how some kid drowned in a lake or hit by a car and came back for revenge as some mongoloid. The series based its self on brutality and the old fear of the woods and a really big mommas boy. I even really liked the remake. Faster Stronger and smarter. I always wondered why did Jason never run. In the remake he was flying and destroying. And if anyone noticed, Someone went through a window in every movie. I thought that was a unique unknown to this series.

Ahhhh, Michael Myers. Halloween. My second place in the forever going debate. The storyline was easily the best among the series. I really enjoyed the story with Dr Loomis and Myers. How he came back for so many. Very awesome cat and mouse story. With great gore and actually for horror, good acting. What Rob Zombie did with the First remake. Masterpiece! Was a close matchup between Original and Remake. Maybe it is just my love for all movies Rob Zombie creates with the exception of Halloween 2 by Zombie. It was cool, but didnt understand the whole horse thing.

Well The Debate is on! Feel free to Comment your pick or feel free to Tweet it on the Twitter page that has really started to pop off. Lets keep it gong!  Who will win this twitter battle. Lets see!
