2016 AWARDS CEREMONY

Welcome back to HH365.com. Today we will recognize the Best of the Best in our Area Haunted Attractions. After the voting, screaming and arguing we have finalized our Awards for 2016. The three awards about to be displayed show not just the fan favorite or area favorite opinions, but educated and well thought out grading on what makes one attraction better then the other.

We entered every Haunt with the same open mind. No matter if the Haunt was 25 years old or 2. Every attraction was rated the same. The one mission we wanted to complete was to give a 100% honest opinion into these Fear Fests. After much debate and review these three awards were given so much thought it took until March to really tackle and pick three stand outs. When talking to many Haunt actors and fans, we found that most of them will hold their favorite Haunt close to the heart. As with many of us, we all have our personal favorite, but that does not make it the best choice. We started this site to dig deep and find the best. Using 5 grading points that really stick out to people when walking through attractions. The one issue we found was that with some of the Haunts, it was our first time through them. This made it extremely challenging to grade on scenery due to the fact we have no idea what it looked like last year.

Another issue with finding the winners of 2016 was integrity. We were lucky enough that some of the Haunt owners welcomed us with open arms, while other owners could not be bothered. We had to keep this situation buried deep to not allow it to sway our judgement. We have seen a lot of review sites sway to the way of welcoming owners, this was not going to be HH365.com.

With that being said, We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the many owners who welcomed us with open arms. It is greatly appreciated. Because of that, this site became a success. We look forward to hopefully increasing the number of Behind the Scene looks and Interviews for 2017. Now, lets get to the party.

First Award! 2016 Best Hayride.

Everyone loves a Hayride, and a lot of Haunts have hayrides. So how do we choose which one was the best? After spending many years going to many hayrides, we wanted to see something different. Everyone has people hidden in trucks or buildings. A lot of them even have fire and stuff blowing up. So after much searching and grading. We have dialed it down to One overall winner for 2016. So give a Big Hand to.............
 FIELD OF SCREAMS.
Lets give a big round of applause to the entire Field of Screams team. This Hayride was by far the best we visited in 2016. This team really understands how to Scare the hell out of you at every scene. Not only the Owners and Build teams but the Actors go 110% every night in this Hayride. This was our easiest choice when we voted in November and again in February. Great Job all around team. This vote was 4 out of 4 team members. Hands down the BEST HAYRIDE IN THE AREA.

Next Award, Best Attraction. We understand that some Haunts are limited by space and money. We wanted to pick the Best Overall Walk through. Because we understand that some Haunts only have one amazing one and then some could need some work. So, we figured if we selected one Walk through to take an Award. It will show off the hard work put in all year long.

This was our toughest debate. Visiting close to 100 different attractions, it was so hard to narrow it down to one. This was one of the reasons we did two votes. We voted in November while everything was fresh in our brains. We could still smell the fog juice. My thought was that this would sway our judgement. So, we took a vote in February. Three months after entering an attraction, if we were still thinking about it then it was one hell of an Attraction. After much debate and reasoning, The Winner Is..........

CONGRATULATIONS to Shocktoberfest and Team. This Attraction was UNBELIEVABLE. This was the longest and most detailed attraction we visited in 2016. This is a MUST SEE attraction. Designed slightly like a puzzle, you are shipped off to a Zombie Prison in a Prison Bus. Once at the Prison you go through all of the steps, registration, cells, medical and so on. Then it is time to escape through the underground tunnels and through the Court yards. This Attraction goes on forever and is not for the weak of heart. Another fun feature is that you can Opt-in to become a zombie and scare the hell out of the other visitors. Overall the Best Attraction of 2016. Thank you so much to Shocktoberfest and team. We had a great night out at your Haunt and looking forward to see what happens next year.

Now. This next award is the hardest award any review site has to do. Or anyone that reviews anything. The Best Haunt of 2016. Surprisingly, this was not our hardest choice. After visiting this Haunt we were instantly blown away. This Haunt, may be smaller and shorter then most. But, It Brings the pain. Every step of this Haunt was incredibly detailed and extremely well thought out. This was easier for us then I thought it would be. Driving home from all the other attractions would hurt my head because I really had no idea how the team would pick a winner. There were so many great Haunts, how do we trickle it down to one. Then one night, after walking out of this Haunt. I knew we had an instant winner. So without further a do.....Here is the Best Overall Haunt for 2016..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
BRIGHTON ASYLUM. Congratulations to these Masters of Horrors. This Haunt is a MUST SEE every year. If you have not made it to this Haunt yet. Schedule it now. You will be tested every step of the way. Brighton Asylum even offers year round haunts. We just reviewed The Night of the Creeps. Make sure you check out their webpage for the next upcoming Haunt. But Congrats to Brighton Asylum. A MUCH DESERVED AWARD.

This wraps up our 2016 season. Stay tuned as we have reviews from HHN in Orlando to come, along with Interviews with Actors and Owners coming soon. Stay Tuned. The best has yet to come....

NIGHT OF THE CREEPS AT BRIGHTON ASLYUM

Welcome back for another installment of HH365.com. Last night the team took the very long trek up to Brighton Asylum for their One Night Only Night Of The Creeps Attraction.

This attraction brings all of your favorite Horror characters to life and throws them right into your face. This is something I always thought more Haunts should get on board with. Even if it is just one night. Surround the fan base with their favorite Murderers and Madmen. Torture them with the Villains of the movies that have made fans jump out of their seats for now approaching decades.

Well lets get to the review. The first stop at Brighton Asylum is The Tunnel. While standing in line to enter The Tunnel, we were handed fully automatic weapons. These were given to us to mow down the Zombie uprising that was terrorizing The Tunnel. Once we entered the building we were loaded into an elevator to take us down to The Tunnel. We were greeted in the elevator by a Southern Sheriff by the name of Hoyt. His job was to inform us that his nephew was looking for new faces to slice off and wear as his own. And at this point, I knew standing in the cold and the three hour drive was totally going to be worth every second of it.

This was our third trip through The Tunnel this year, as they did not change much of the design or decor of The Tunnel. They really did not have to. A lot of the Movie Maniacs fit right into the existing Facade. Brighton Asylum did a wonderful job using what they already have and mixed new characters into it flawlessly. From Historic Psychopaths to Modern Evil, The Tunnel brought it hard. Lets get to the scoring
After escaping The Tunnel, You are stripped of your weapons and head up to the door of Brighton Asylum. This was amazing because right out side of the entrance you are greeted by one of the little girls jumping rope in A Nightmare on Elm Street. Without saying a word she starts singing. 1,2 Freddy's coming for you, 3,4 Better lock your door. She continues with her song as she hands out the please touch necklaces. When she was done handing out the necklaces and finished her Nursery Rhyme she waves you on in and lets you know that Freddy is waiting for you.

The Night of The Creeps was the best attraction we have seen out of Brighton Asylum. And walking through the many corridors of the Asylum brought so many Movies we have all watched over and over again to life. In one case for the girlfriend it became a little too real. Having an already existing gigantic phobia of Jason Voorhees, This is what made everything so worth it. I am going to run through the scene. As you walk down a dark corridor you see Mr. Voorhees for a split second, then he disappears behind a door. Well, as you turn the corner. Mrs Voorhees is standing there yelling at you for letting her little boy drown. As you walk passed her you hop on a little bridge over looking what would be Crystal Lake per say. Well that is where my night went from good to great as Jason Voorhees jumped out of nowhere and literally tried to drag my Girlfriend over the bridge into his lake. This prompted a scream from her that probably woke at least 10 dead people. This was the biggest scream I have ever heard out of her. AMAZING JOB! That 15 second interval made the cold and the trip worth it.

Adding many movies into the Asylum, they did a fantastic job recreating New and Old Horror and bringing it to Life. Here are the Scores for the Asylum.
Not that this will be much surprise, but here is what we scored the Night Of Creeps Attraction at Brighton Asylum.
