Monday Horror Movie Franchise Rankings-Insidious!

Welcome back to HH365 for Monday Horror Movie Franchise Rankings brought to you by HH365! Today we will take a dive into the world of Insidious. A great Horror franchise that had a lot of great movies and it was hard to rank, but we know we have to make the tough decisions so here we go! The number four movie in the Franchise.

#4.

Insidious The Last Key (2018). I was expecting so much more from this movie. It was a prequel about the Demonologist Elise who is the answer to all the problems in the other films. It was an interesting start to the series but the movie lacked some serious scares that the other three movies produced so well. The story takes place during Elise's childhood and the demons that always haunted her from the prison her dad worked at and she pieces together some history about her self. This movie could have been just as good as the others but really fell flat on its head. Let us get to number three!

#3.

Insidious Chapter 3. (2015). This was a fun and decently scary film. It is the story told by Elise before Insidious started. It follows a young lady that is trying her hardest to reach out to her deceased mother but finds her self in more trouble then she bargained for. This movie had decent scares and another outstanding job by Lin Shaye who plays Elise. It also contains a little more backround story about Elise and why she really hates communicating with the dead and the young woman who helped her get her priorities straight. This movie was a good entry into the franchise. Let us get to number 2.

#2.

Insidious (2011). It is hard to put into words of how much I loved this movie. It brought back the use of noises and creepy music to create scares. The story was outstanding and the cast was even better. The story starts as the Lambert family moved into a new home and their oldest child Dalton keeps getting drawn to the Attic. One day he falls into a coma that the doctors have no answers for and then all hell breaks lose into the family. This was a great movie and a great movie for the genre using all of the old and new tools to scare the hell out of you. It was very hard making this number 2 but I will explain going into number 1! Let us go to the number one spot in the franchise.

#1.

Insidious Chapter 2. (2013). Just an amazing film with so many awesome moments. Even better acting out of the already great cast. The story deepens to its fullest potential in this movie and really the scares never stop. Some of the best scenes I have seen in Horror and still scares the crap out of me when the "Women in black" is on screen. With some shades of The Amityville Horror and a Indiana Jones feel as they go looking for what is Haunting the family. It explains the "Further" a little more and really slams everything home. It was very close between this film and the original Insidius for the number one spot, but This one won outright due to the "Woman in black" killer type hunt. Then you get to watch the Father start hunting the family like Amityville. And it continued to use the sounds and scores to add scares. This movie will make you jump This movie will make you run and want some more!

That is all we have for you today at HH365! If you have not watched the Insidious series. You really need to! Keep it here to HH365! Where Every Day Is Haunt Season!
